The injury must be bad to have missed so much football this year. He just doesn’t seem to be able to get himself right. But like with Sessegnon, who is going to buy an injured player. We are stuck with them.

It's fine to make opportunistic signings as well as spending big money. We were never going to buy multiple £50m wingers when Perisic and Son were both here already.
We took a free hit and nothing came of it, no big deal. It was the injury to Perisic coming at the same time that really hurt us.

Speaking of Perisic, I think he would have really helped in Postecoglou's system. Perisic is at an age where he wouldn't have been able to play a huge number of minutes every game but someone with his crossing ability would have perhaps been worth one or two more wins over the course of the season. Getting someone with that skill set in next season is probably going to be a priority.
