Just think how miserable you would be if you had to post about a team that wasn't 3rd in the EPL, that wasn't in the last eight of the CL and that hadn't achieved that playing every game away from home ... better yet go on one of their websites and post your negativity ... because you're about as welcome here as a fart in a lift ...

3rd to 6th have a 4 point difference. Its not like having 4 extra point over the course of 30 matches makes you miles better than the other team. Hence 3rd-6th .

We are much further from 2nd spot than we are from 6th. Theres a top 2 and theres a 3-6th.

We finished 3rd, 2pts above Liverpool last season but 5pts behind Utd.

I call that top 3, not top 6

There are mini leagues within the league though. Right now theres 1 point difference between the top 2. And then theres a big gulf of 13 points and 3-6 are all clustered together and then again theres a huge gap for rest of the teams. We are currently the best team in the 3-6 mini league. Theres a greater chance that we will change positions in the 3-6 league than break out of it and join in the race with the top 2.

Also last season, City were in a league of their own and we were in the 2nd to 6th league then.

Liverpool have just improved enough to be in the minileague with City.

We have been the only consistent in the top 3 out of the entire top 6 for the last three years.

I think you make some valid points.

Our players lack the strength of mentality to win things or at least have not shown a collective strength of mind to do so. What the answer is has so far escaped even the manager many of us laud.

I don't expect us to win on Sunday or even draw but I hope we compete and that if Liverpool win, it's because they have played very well.

3rd is up for grabs but before the Burnley game we dared to dream of even greater rewards.

It has however been a season where we have not been as good as the previous 3 or 4 years.
