He was always a liability, and his supposed passing range is also massively overstated. Hopefully have a decent career in France or at a mid table Spanish side. 10 million would be good business for him.
Regular starter in national team and we cannot find room for him, just beggars belief!

The treatment of Foyth is more evidence of Mourinho’s cuntery and backwardness

One of my Man Utd mates said it was EXACTLY how Mourinho treated Daly Blind, both are slight, ball playing defenders and Jose hates those. Only difference was Mourinho had to wait a bit longer for Blind to make an error, before he had a justification to bomb him out. Fact is he’s young, several years off his peak and a proper modern coach would be doing better with him.

It just shows how short Argentina is of decent defenders currently. They gave him a go in desperation, he didn't do very well when he was picked as a CB for them last time and ended up as a right back. He's not the answer.

The 4-2 game against the scum was basically the end for Juan, he was getting the blame for being caught in possession for the third goal and costing us the game when in truth Jan defended like a total idiot and Dier was all over the place.

Foyth and Sanchez have suffered and most of it is due to the decline of Jan and Toby.

At the same time - this is when they were expected to set up to the challenge as the next generation
True, but here's the rub.

When Toby and Jan were the imperious duo they played in conditions that Foyth and Sanchez has rarely had the benefit of, if at all.

Toby and Jan played in a settled back line. They played in a back four with set positions, World class fullbacks and top class defensive midfielders.

Look at Toby and Jan without the fullbacks and defensive midfielders, they look utterly shambolic.

If we are looking for comparisions of whether Dav and Juan can replace Toby and Jan, lets see them try to do it in the same circumstances Toby and Jan became so legendary.

Here are my thoughts on Foyth :

- Versatile can play at RB , CB (although better in a 3) and even possibility CDM
- One of the best ball players I have seen as a defender , so comfortable with the ball
- Young and has age on his side , potential there to improve
-Impressive stats for tackles , interceptions etc.

HOWEVER...
- Lacks Physicality
- Still makes a lot of errors , although he doesn't get enough consistent starts.
- Plays for his International team so probably wants to start more
- Mourinho clearly doesn't rate him and you feel Tanganga has overtaken him.
- We need a NEW CB in the summer and he could be used as a makeweight

While I'd like to see Foyth given a chance and think he is decent , Mourinho won't start him , so there's no point keeping him at the club we might as well make a profit on him OR use him in a swap deal for another CB.
If Barcelona want to do a swapdeal then we should take Tobido off them , although arguably he's a bit similar to Foyth . Either way its time for him to sadly move on.
Sanchez is also worryingly not improving (but that's another story)

I think that the club was prepared for Jan to start declining, which would have meant a cemented pairing of Toby and Dav with Foyth/Tanganga as the bench option. That would have allowed Dav to step into a key role with less pressure since Toby would have been there next to him.

However Toby having a questionable season as well has thrown that plan out the window.

Toby had a questionable season last season.

He's been shocking this season.

Verts has been worse, sadly
Toby has been the one responsible for the most mistakes leading to goals.

His performance against Villa was utter shite, he got away with it because we got the result and he scored.

Even Mourinho said he cost two goals and the way Grealish ripped the piss out of him was cringeworthy.

It's amazing.... All these shit players we have linked to Barca.... What parasitic owners they must have!
