He definitely canI think Pochettino can take Spurs further, no question - given the right circumstances.
I just don't think he will be given the chance to even try though

What 'very good point'? It's an opinion or more correctly an assumption.Unfortunately I think you have a very good point and it will be galling to see him go on and have success elsewhere if that does happen.
I thought Mourinho won the CL with a portuguese team. So it isnt entirely impossible.Poch has done amazing given the circumstances. Pep or mourinho probably wouldn't have got us in to the final to being with.
Good point. But it's probably harder these days to do it the way he did it back then.I thought Mourinho won the CL with a portuguese team. So it isnt entirely impossible.
Our players fight till the last minute for the cause. No way we would have reached the CL final based on talent alone. Players really tried their best for the team and for Poch.I don't have the feeling that everyone is pulling in the same direction like they were 3 or 4 years ago. Back then the players were younger, hungrier, fitter, on long contracts, they were prepared to run through brick walls for Poch and it showed on the pitch and with our results. There was a steely focus, a unity
Need to be ruthless with these players, they either want to be here or not. Bored of them pissing about over their contracts.
In turn the wage cap needs to be moved higher.
Toby is getting on, time to find a long term replacement
I’m fully up for a wholesale change in our style of play next year.
Failing a return to pressing, Id like to see players signed that can see us go 442 to be honest.
Flat back 4, a destroyer, a creative/holding mid, two wingers and two strikers (or at least an AM behind Kane)
Sick of our formation, sick of our backwards passing and hesitation, and sick of not having any shots.
We had more shots on target in injury time than the 90 last night. I think our first was Eriksens free kick on 85 minutes.
It’s no good being great in the ball in the middle of the pitch and own area.....we just aren’t threat going forward anymore until there’s 10 minutes left.
I usually defend Eriksen to the hilt but it is probably best if he announces his departure sooner rather than later.
If Eriksen wants to go to Madrid, I say go ahead. He's a good player but not a top player or a world class player, he won't last at Madrid.
Zidane wouldn't even consider Pogba if he was Belgian or Spanish.Strange Pogba has been even worse and yes I know he got XI but most people thought that was a stupid joke.
I can understand Hazard but if I was Zidane Pogba and Eriksen would not be on my list.
but ManU as usual are living in cuckoo land and want 150 mil for Pogba... Considering Levy may be ok to part with Eriksen for 75 mil since he is on his final yearMadrid will run a mile after last night. I can't see why they would be interested in Eriksen. Apparently it's Perez who wants him but Zidane is not a fan and would rather buy Pogba

Yet another trophyless season and this is frustrating from the team that has promised so much until the final obstacle.
Poised to lose both Eriksen and Toby which would be ripping out a key player from our attack and defence . Levy needs to bring some changes in to take Spurs to the next level
1. Emergency revision of the salary cap and offer Toby a new deal meeting his demands that would hopefully change his mind and keep him for another 2 years
2. Los Celso needs to be priority#1 signing no matter what it takes. Very few players can replace Eriksen
3. Trippier's position needs to be upgraded and he needs to be moved on. Wan Bissaka is the best RWB in the country currently - sign him.
4. The side lacks pace compared to the likes of City and liverpool who have Mane, sterling,Sane,Mosalah etc. Pace is critical for counter attacks as well as to break down teams parking the bus. Pacy wingers need to be signed to give an added dimension to the team - we can't rely on Moura and Son's heroics to carry us through every single game. Lamela is useless and needs to be sold -even if he played in the final yesterday he wouldn't have made a difference given his attributes already shown
5. Wanyama is done. Need a reliable DM who can go toe-to-toe with the best and win the midfield battles - and push Sissoko for the spot . Ndombele!
