Probably the first (and maybe the last) time that Oliver Cromwell has been quoted on here but he was pretty prescient here, 370 years ahead of his time...

Just throwing this out there - it wasn't a mistake to sack Poch.

The mistakes were ending up at a point where we had to sack Poch.
And I see no evidence that won't happen again.
Agree, objectively Poch had to be sacked to generate some false momentum from the honeymoon periods of new managerial appointments.

Having said that, the overall correct decision was to back Poch with everything we had to give him the elite talent he needed.

Poch wasn't the issue, but you can't sack 25 players. The issue was the three windows without signings, the squad went stale and then when we did get players they were wank.

That we still need to replace the same positions in the squad four years later despite wanking £400m is beyond a joke.

Poch coming back works but probably requires a complete restart. And all of us lowering our already meagre expectations.

Just go online and read, or watch YouTube videos, you'll soon get the gist of the fans true feelings after another shitshow in a long line of shitshows from enic, and as usual with no trophies to show for it.
I mean I understand you're entitled to your opinion, but where are the positives in 23 years, 14 managers (soon be 15 in 23 years) including some of the best available, and zero to show for it. Perfectly good managers like Jol, Rednapp and Poch sacked to cover up enic's lack of investment on the pitch. Mourinho sacked 6 days before a cup final, now Conte who was also not properly backed about to get the bullet.
Lets see who will be the next enic puppet and how long that lasts.
What part about that do you not understand? Everyone is laughing at us, but people who still support these parasites are actually part of the problem.
The parasites who took us from mid- to lower table mediocrity and being spoke of in the same breadth as Villa, Everton, Spam, and Leeds to a top 6 club? Riiight...

You think it's easy to grow a club and win titles organically without money doping? You think if we had made different managerial appointments we would have won titles 10-15 years ago? Really?

ENIC may not have made all the right decisions (who has?!), but if you're looking for parasites, you might want to look at the Glazers who take money out of a club whose best finish in the past 10 years has been 2nd. Once! Who have fucked up with their managerial appointments year after year after year since SAF stepped down. That's a parasite.

But I wouldn't expect any better from someone who thinks that what you read online or watch in a YouTube video represents majority opinion.

Not even sure backing him with everything he wanted was the right thing.
None of us know who as behind Poch era signings, but post Paul Mitchel, they were fucking shit.
Sissoko, Sanchez, Ndombele, Aurrier, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, jeez. Over £200m of players in Poch's reign and all shite.

Yes.

Foyth was a rare exception, unfairly binned by Mourinho.

The Glazer shtick is such a red herring.

Yes, they have leveraged the club and take money out of it, but the club makes so much damn money, it doesn’t impact their investment. UTD have spent more than any other club in world football.

They’ve just spent it on shitty players.

You're right and wrong. They could have spent a whole lot more and more money is rarely a bad thing. They have taken out shit loads while watching the stadium and training pitch go to shit.

Ok, sure. The infrastructure point is valid.

But they categorically have not underinvested in the team.

Not underinvested in the team but are parasites

Manure have won the Europa, FA cup and 2x league cups since SAF has been gone. We would kill to have just one of those cups on our resumé in the last 15 fucking years.
Resorting to whataboutism doesn't detract from the fact that ENIC have been an abject fucking failure as owners. It is not a case of "financial doping", we have nickel and dimed managers time and time and time again when a little extra investment could have generated a massive amount of additional income with the success it brought, but ENIC are cowardly owners and unwilling to take risks on investing in us because they simply don't care about our on-pitch success. As long as our valuation continues to grow, with things like CL participation and general inflation of club valuations, they are more than happy to spend the bare minimum to prevent riots and coast along winning fuck all.
