I thought they might try that but if they do they have to brace themselves for full on Conte unleashed. I'd love to know what really goes on with our transfer activity. For that reason the board will shit it, pay him off and make him sign a NDA.
One of the reasons I wanted Conte in the first place was the likelihood he spills the beans instead of taking the money.

Way too many people think that Conte is on their side over this. He has actually done this for entirely selfish reasons, to cover himself and his reputation. He couldn't give a damn about Tottenham or about improving matters.

If Conte is still in charge at Everton, that says to me one thing - the manager we are getting has been decided and is currently at another club. That would probably make it one of De Zerbi, Postecoglou, Carrick, Frank IMO. If we want Poch/Enrique we'd just do it now.

This. He always talked about Spurs like they were below him and he was doing the club a favor. If you want to change a club you do what Poch did: get the team to play to a high standard and get them close to winning something. Until you have done that, shut the fuck up. Just because you have achieved things elsewhere doesn't mean you don't have to prove yourself in your current team. Your reputation got you hired. Now you need to follow it up and demonstrate that you are deserving of that reputation. Stop blaming everyone else for not getting the team motivated to beat a Wolves, a Sheffield, a Villa, or a Forest in the cup, or a poor Milan side.

Could also be Gallardo. He has stated that he doesn't want to take over a team midseason, but wants to wait until the summer.

surely he spoke for his own interests and to save his reputation, but the crux of the matter is: did he say true things or are they all fantasies?
are the players responsible for their poor and coward attitude, or they are the innocent victims of incompetent coaches like mourinho and conte?

That's true. Whatever his motivation, what he said was correct though. He still needs to go

That says to me that we have a plan and have been forward looking in deciding the new manager. History would suggest otherwise and actually the reason no-one has been appointed is because they don’t have a fucking clue

As bad of a fit as Jose was for us as far as the football goes, he at the very least bought in. He wanted to be at Spurs and was up for the challenge. Antonio has just wanted us to roll out the red carpet for him at every turn.

We're probably going to look back more fondly on Jose's tenure in a few years. Especially if Conte isn't sacked and is allowed to keep spewing shit.

We could actually get 4th if we moved Conte on and didn't bring a coach in.

We're no worse than Newcastle or Liverpool. We're struggling because we have a coach who keeps picking out of form players, leaving others on the bench, and a squad who seem unhappy with all of it.
Stick a band aid on it for 10 games and see where we go. If we leave it, it's going one way and one way alone.

The players have given up on him which although we may not like it is actually quite reasonable given that he won't commit. That is the reality of lame-duck managers in football worldwide, not just at Spurs. It's his job to create a team and build morale, team spirit and momentum.

There are two issues at Spurs: one is long term and he spoke some truth about that (although not all truth). The second is the immediate situation where he has taken a decent squad (not top line by any means) and has them playing shit football while indicating in words and actions that he's going. That's on him.
