Totti's final game for Roma this weekend. Inspiration for Kane I hope. The accolades he's getting for being a one club man.

Roses recent comments give me hope that he has that mindset.

Be a legend!

Did not realise Harry's record was that good or was it the previous goalscorers not good enough? Robbie Keane/Defoe era of course meant both spent more time on the bench and Kane has no rivals for the striker position. Either way impressive.

It's worth noting that Kane leads the line alone. It's why I think Shearer's record was a) achieved and b) probably will not be broken (until two up top is back in vogue).

Also worth nothing that up until the end of 1994-95, the Premier League was played over 42 games.

Also worth noting Kane is a better all round footballer, he can pick the ball in his own half, make a 50 yard pass to the opposite wing, and still be on the end of it.

Also Kane is Spurs and Shearer is a prick

Aye, but two of his 3 "30+ goals in a season" were scored over 40 or more league appearances, meaning that it's a pretty fair handicap for him, even beyond ability.

This season Kane scored only 4 or 5 goals less in a dozen fewer games than old mumbles managed.
