Not at all. I've only had one small snifter of scotch.
Oh the power of suggestion. That sounds so civilised, I'm just going to have a large Macallan 10 year old as a nightcap on the strength of that. Sometimes I'm envious of you lot being 5/6/7 hours or whatever behind. So much to look forward to, but for us it's nearly over. Cheers!

Whatevs, you bitches are living in the future.

Maybe Poch won't be playing such a line line, maybe the CBs won't be doing that much pressing. I didn't notice Daws doing too much pressing v Chicago, maybe I missed it, but we still didn't concede, and we won comfortably enough.

I will say of Pochs system he doesn't really demand his centre backs to be as athletic as the high line would lead you think, it's more the midfield and the holding two that do the donkey work, press fast enough and you haven't got that space to pick out a pass behind our hapless defenders, that's where we fucked up last year, no pressure on the opposition. Lovren and Fonte are both good defenders but they aren't speed merchants, definitely not as mobile as Jan Kaboul and Chiriches. Being 6.3 I'd already take for granted he isn't going to be a speed merchant coupled with his build anyhow, but that's not a problem. As long as his reading of the game is good and he's comfortable on the ball he'll fit in fine. If Bloomfield picked him out I'm all for him.

Sounds lovely. How much GOOD bourbon do you all get over there? Pappy Van Winkle ever make it over the pond?

Edit: I know you're not drinking bourbon currently.

Not a lot. Can you give me some pointers?

There are a ton of really good yet inexpensive bourbons. Although, they might be pretty costly over there. Buffalo Trace is great. Bulleit makes one of my favorite Rye's. Sazerac Rye is another good one, but probably quite difficult to find. High West is awesome.

I'm not crazy about High West, but the others are pretty solid recommendations.

Speaking of inexpensive, good bourbons, Old Grand Dad BIB is damn solid for the price, and I think that you can't find a better value out there than Weller 12 year.

The Boy is supposed to be some sort of free kick specialist and has a wicked shot on him..

Eriksen should be our main free kick taker but we are a bit thin on alternatives, last season we saw Naughton taking a few under Sherwood.

He may have Dawson dropping and covering with his last ditch tackles.
