Lamela is better AM and winger than Dele

OK so you agree that it's not necessarily true to say that "Lamela is overall better player than Alli"?

And just so that we're clear, I'm not down on Lamela or bumming Dele, I think they are both excellent assets to the club. Just trying to make the case that things are seldom as black and white as you suggested.

Dele was barely 18 back then

Did anyone else see his post-match SpursTV interview from last night?

He didn't say anything wrong, but it just seems like something is 'up' with him at the moment. Something in his personal life or behind the scenes perhaps? Hopefully it resolves itself soon, as these things can turn around very quickly (see Ronaldo saying he was going to leave Real this summer).

He's young and knows he's not playing to his capabilities. Wouldn't read too much into it

What'd he do or say, Muffin?

His interview was fine to be honest, down to earth, quite liked it. There is stuff going on behind the scenes as he has changed agents. Would like him to enjoy playing for Spurs again, not too worried if he decides otherwise. No player is bigger than the club. Forza Harry Kane, Tottenham's Totti.

Just seemed awfully subdued compared to his usual self, but perhaps playing late midweek in a mostly empty stadium against opposition we were expected to beat might not be the best catalyst for enthusiasm.

Wary of letting confirmation bias make Dele's body language (and interviews, etc) look ominous. It's difficult to ignore the idea something is wrong when the thought has been seeded.

I thought he was good today, as think he has been all season! The space he creates from his runs, whether he is picked out or not, creates some many problems for defence and/or the oppo DM. He plays in and around that pocket of space between defence and DM but allways moveing through that space.

Of our last 26 goals he’s been involved in 22 of them!!!! Should have had a penalty as well today too!!!

Poor first touch and close control it was painful to watch him at times. One assist or goal here and there does not excuse him from criticism against his awful recent performances.
