Yeah but something is wrong Starks. They did everything we did not do against Man City at home. They are not better than us though in a few key areas it's closer than some people want to admit. They made it a contest and wanted it way more than us. I fully get that Ange is building but the not having won a trophy thing is now an active problem that needs addressing.
Okay need to be clearer. What we (SPURS ) did not do in OUR FA Cup tie against Man City United, shitty United DID today. They ran and fought and finally they found a way against a technically better oponent. They are in a semi final by engaging their home advantage and playing with heart. We were terrible against City and worse against Fulham in our two most realistic chances of a trophy. As a result that albatross ( do you know this expression) is becoming a real not imagined issue. No matter how much Ange talks about projects.
So bad. Was so easily forgiven afterwards because "its City" even though their big game record this season is shaky, we had home advantage & it was our LAST chance to stay in the trophy hunt. Performances like that are so meekly accepted by this fanbase it is scary. We gave City nothing to worry about, one fucking shot all game!!!
The Fulham game I give slightly more leeway in as it was very early on. But the team put out was shit, there's no reason for us to put out weakened sides vs PL opposition when we're not in Europe. United and Chelsea are talking about saving their seasons with the FA cup fight but we're too good to go all out in these competitions? Fuck right off..

It's because we are shit and are going absolutely nowhere and they are great and will probably win the treble next season.
It's not as binary as your sarcasm suggests. But we can learn from how they turned up in big moments in a way we did not. We can not be so arrogant to believe we can learn nothing from anyone else.
