Eriksen has become a real problem, whilst nothing was ever put in writing it appears he made a verbal agreement with the club that if he was unable to secure the move he wanted this summer he would sign a new contract, albeit one with a release clause included, it now appears that his agent has said this won't happen.
Needless to say after the EPL window closed, and with little likelihood of him moving before next week's European window shuts, that leaves DL and Poch with no chance of selling him and him leaving on a free next summer.
If that turns out to be true, and we won't know until September 2nd, does Poch give pitch time to a player who has stabbed the club in the back? or does he bench him and waste the most talented player we have?
When Poch refers to 'lack of unity within the squad' pretty sure this is what he's talking about.
Toby and Jan are much older and have never said they will sign new contracts ... just not the same as having a 100m player string you along for three years only to stab you in the back ...
Only a rumour which Eriksen can kill by either leaving or signing as agreed ... we will soon see where his true colours fall ....
