They are worse in a different way but you would ve gotten the same kind of treatment but maybe a bit more polite. As we said , this is a very sensitive subject for football fans that already pay a lot to go to games and there is a form of unwritten law of solidarity that you dont ask for more than face value (although i now understand why you did it in the first place).
