What I dont get is if it is so easy to compete with the champions league teams without competing with them financially, why isn't everyone doing it? You would expect different teams to be finishing in the top 4 every season. I guess all the chairman are incompetent and only Sammy knows how to run a football club

Personally, I think with the right additions and management, and backing from Levy we could get there. far more positive than this idiotic "we cant compete with an average Utd and scum" and need world class players in every position and a billion pound wage bill....to get FOURTH.

Kane probably could have got something close to that this off season if he wasn't a Yid.

I wish Poch would use Bentaleb and Mason further forward. We will never know their full potential played out of position. At least Mason has been used there recently. But with these new signings I think it will be back to being AVB'd.

Its not to all about money. It's about personnel. So much money goes into buying players, then we do what? Use Les Ferdinand to train them?

We have world class facilities. It's time to get world class specialist coaches for our squad.

And whether we like it or not, we can't really judge or evaluate our season until the end of it. Last I checked last years title winners are without a win in their first 4 games as well, that doesn't mean they will be relegation candidates.

That's a question that doesn't even have a fucking answer. Barcelona could have dropped points to all three of those teams. How about you ask yourself this, how many of those three teams finished above us last season? Because losing three games isn't an indicator of how good a team you are. It's an indicator of how well you played on the day.

Nobody is saying we don't need to improve on those performances. But the squad quality is still there and will improve. What everyone is saying and you are choosing to ignore though, is that there isn't one fucking team with a lower wage bill than us that finished higher than us last year. Yet we have finished higher than teams who have a higher wage bill than us, showing that we have over performed if anything. You asking us to finish 3rd or 4th is just being unreasonable until we are competing with those wage bills, which won't be any time in the next year.

Cherry picking results is dumb all teams have results that you feel go against the grain. Anything can happen on the day and anomalies will occur but over the 38 games the money teams will average the best results 95% of the time , can you really disagree with that Sammy?

Why are people carrying on like we're skint? This is what's confusing me.

And even if we were, still could Have got Rondon, Ayew & Shaquiri for £6 million less than we paid for Lamela.

We aren't carrying on like we are skint. We are carrying on like we are playing at the level we are at currently. We all seem to be in agreement that we aren't ready to make the push for 4th until our new stadium is in place and the team is settled well. With regards to Rondon, Ayew and Shaqiri, I have no doubt we knew of the availability. But if Pochetino doesn't want them then we have another Stambouli situation.
