I know it's my first youth game, and I know the opposition wasn't great, but I'm sure this team could beat half the prem!
So much skill.

Though they are kind of small

Definitely! Been to all the games so far in the youth cup - it'd be rude not to!

I was watching a MUTV stream but I fell asleep during half time. I started dreaming that Chirpy was chasing our youth players around the pitch and he got hold of Azzaoui and broke his arm. I furiously went round THFC staff asking why Chirpy was allowed to do this and saying "he's fucking out of control" blah blah blah. I then woke up to Azzaoui slotting the ball home. :pochsmirk:

Manchester United had a bunch of huge impressive looking athletes but we were miles ahead in terms of skill. Absolutely incredible amounts of ability from some of our boys. Was really fun to finally watch in person.

Our center halves impressed me a lot. Minus their ridiculous free kick, Maghoma and Carter-Vickers snuffed out everything. Manchester United barely had a chance. They are also both hugely impressive athletes.

Walker-Peters was unplayable in the second half. So good carrying the ball and his pass for Georgiou's second was phenomenal. Really good 1 v. 1 defender. He's so small though, not just in height but his legs are so skinny. A couple of the United hit him tonight and he went flying. Going to need to spend a lot of time in the weight room the next few years but if he bulks up, watch out.

Azzaoui is so silky on the ball, was drawing some oohs and ahs in the first half. Was quieter in the second half but still had a great chipped finish for his goal.

Marcus Edwards is going to be incredible. During halftime he was out warming up and his touch is absolutely immaculate. Such incredible control of the ball and makes it look effortless. Really hope he can grow 3-4 inches even though he could be good enough to overcome being tiny. Couldn't stop watching him just kicking it about at halftime, he's that skilled.

Amos actually really impressed me and I hadn't heard much about him. Shielded the back line well and moves the ball quickly and accurately when he wins it.

Onomah will be with the first team soon. Carries the ball so confidently and can make all the passes. Just effortlessly glides around the field. Good stuff.

It's hard to imagine we won't see a few more academy graduates in our team the next couple of seasons.

Couldn't go tonight, other commitment at 7.00. However, I followed it @spursofficial. Heard Onomah did well for the second. I have to get to more of these matches. I went a bit in the Mason, Townsend, etc era.
Good result though.
Got home at 8.30 and watched man u u21 v Chavs u21. Manure looked very poor. even though they won. They had Young and Raphael playing. Chavs Isaiah Brown looks really good for a 17 yr old. Stand out player imo

our u21's could go top again with a win at Southampton. We are up there with Chavs and Saints.
Our u18's are doing well 3rd with a game in hand on Villa. May get runners up in that league.

However, Woolwich u21's are 4th in Div 2, which is devoid of the top 8 EPL clubs u21 teams, and their u18's are sitting one from bottom.

Things ain't looking to good for their youth, but it's looking rosy for ours at present.

Last train back from Nottingham is 21.32(blow out possible extra-time/pens), and costs £9 most days .
Going, your looking at between £15 - £25 for the train, getting in to Nottingham before 5pm .
Mate, where are you finding the £9 train? I can only find expensive ones.

Very excited hearing this result. A youth cup win would be incredible. We have a very talented young side and I can't wait to see how these players progress.
