Boy did I enjoy that. That definitely got the old juices flowing after a few weeks of a meh kind of feeling.
That game had everything.
This fixture is definitely turning into a big grudge match, there is always drama.

What the fuck was VAR doing regarding their penalty. It seemed like a good 3 minutes or more and several passages of play before they bought it back, fucking mental.
Then that cheating little Cunt Sterling diving about like a salmon out of water. One thing is for sure, after Lloris’s penalty save and all the commotion that followed, it certainly fired the crowd up. The best rendition of oh when the Spurs in the new gaf was heard just after.
Sterling g should have had a red early on by the sound of it?

Some great performances, also some poor ones. Great to see the new lad get on the score sheet, will do his confidence the world of good.

The best thing for me today was the old team spirit returned. All the players were patting each other on the back and all joined in for the goals. It was great to see and proof that the two bad eggs were Eriksen and Rose.

Absolutely loved it.

Nailed it for me there, we all seem to be pulling in the same direction now, everyone giving it everything on the pitch.

This isn’t a screenshot of a newspaper, are you feeling ok?

Sonny a good second half performance
Meh...

Good goal and lots of hard work and I thought he also tracked back well, but his decision making was quite poor and if I'm honest you'd expect him to have Otomendi on toast. I appreciate that this system Jose has him in is shite and doesn't get the most out of his strengths, so not all on him.

So, not calling him out but don't think that performance was worthy of a call out.

Thought the coverage from sky today was a disgrace. Souness actually said sterling didnt deserve to get a red because hes not that type of player. Prick is going to.be unbearable when the diapers win the league

Between that and "there was no malice, so it's not a red" kind of talk, it's unbelievable. Son was given a red when Gomes broke his leg and there was no malice there. Since when has that been a consideration?

Bottom line for me is that Dele was fortunate not to have been injured after a clumsy and reckless challenge from Sterling. I don't care what his reputation or intent is, that's a red all day.

Sonny a good second half performance

Eh...

He scored, so gets a free pass.

However pretty much every other thing he did during the game was awful. He wouldn't take on Walker, dribbled down blind alleys, lost control, overhit/underhit/mis-hit passes, dead-ball/corners hit first defender.

He was slightly less awful after his goal and in the second part of the second half. I'm not sure what's up with him as he's been like this for about the last half dozen games.

Anyway a great win, although how City managed to score 'nil' escapes me.

Sets up Soton nicely.

That was one of the most enjoyable games I’ve seen in a while. Even watching the Ajax CL win wasn’t enjoyable until the very end.

Really wasn’t expecting anything from the game, but I wanted to see how the new kid performed. Watching a game with zero expectations only for us to grab a win was so satisfying.

Hopefully it will be a huge confidence booster for everyone at the club.
