Looking at our upcoming fixtures and those vying for the spots below Man United (yes, city can probably now be caught) where do we think we'll finish?
I think Us, Chelsea, United and Woolwich's European progress will have an effect, as will the FA Cup but difficuly to allow for that at this stage. In a way we need United out of the CL now and to somehow let city back in so they don't take their foot off the gas by the time they play Chelsea and Woolwich pretty much back to back.

It's so hard to predict what these teams are going to do right now. City were bloody awful against Southampton, but then Chelsea have the ability to fall apart like a clown car too. And who would have expected Woolwich to grind out a result with 10 men?

City look absolutely lost right now, so I don't think we can expect any favours from them against Chelsea next week. So who's to say they might not slip down into contention for fourth?

I think all we can do is focus and picking up our own points and beating these teams when we play them. And most importantly not losing to them.

Fair enough. I just think we've got to that part of the season where I start trying to work out just how strong a position we're in. Especially after last year's shambles.
Woolwich only play 2 other top 4 teams from now on and one of them is us. That game is so, so important now. (not that it never is but you get my point)

Agreed, as long as we take 2 points off them I think we will be ok, they still have to play United and Everton which will not be easy games for them. We have the advantage of having played United twice and having managed to avoid hemoraging points to them.

Tried to find the odds today of spurs not losing again in the league, as i was discussing with someone at work, even did a bet request thing on sky bet, but they said they couldn't give me odds on such a thing at this time...

What a minging run in. I sense a late cunting as per last season

That's it Carl aim low. Just like in the great traditions of our club......oh wait.

It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory

IMHO

Lots of 'or's...
Woolwich's fixtures look easier than ours :parker:.

Woolwich > Liverpool > Fulham > Swansea > Everton > Chelsea > MC :avbshock:

If you look at this: http://www.myfootballfacts.com/TottenhamHotspurPremierLeaguePointsWon.html

We are in a similar position to the 09-10 season where we ended up on 70 (and that was with our best PL run-in ever).

We currently have a 1.846 points/game ratio - to achieve 75 points we would need around 2 points per game and we would probably finish 3rd (possibly even 2nd given the last time United ran away with it).

Not to piss on anyone's cornflakes but I don't expect us to get 75 points. Even 70 would be remarkable, and that doesn't take into consideration our intentions in the Europa League.

I'm not doing the predictions, but Pool's defeat meams they're out of it now, IMHO.

I notice they got a ridiculously soft penalty, I'm still waiting for our one. We may well need it.

two key games are obviously Everton and Woolwich, win those and we should get top 4.

Insanity is not a vice

5 teams on 70+ points is unlikely.

Can we not just take one game at a time, anything can happen in 12 games (injuries, suspensions, form) so I don't see the point in looking too far ahead
