So this weekend vs Southampton is the final game at the lane whilst it is completely intact.
Gutted I won't be there now.

Doesn't sound like the demolition of the North East corner will necessarily happen straight away:

At some stage, there will be a requirement for works to take place in this corner of the current stadium due to the need to install one of the six vertical concrete cores necessary to stabilise the new stadium structure. This core is the only one that sits inside the footprint of the current stadium. During the close season preparatory works will be undertaken on this area of the stadium.

In order to retain flexibility for these future works therefore, we shall not be selling Season Tickets in the North East corner for next season.

A shame absolutely. But with reduced capacity only ST's will get to go.

Before I got my ST I paid £150 to watch the Inter game, that was £50 off the touts asking price. I can see ST's licking their lips and filling their boots on StubHub if played at WHL.

So, no nostalgia playing at The Lane in our last season but an opportunity for 20,000 additional Spurs fans to go and watch us play at Wembley.

It's a double edged sword. Great to have such a demand (because, well, why else would we be wanting that shiny new 61,000 seater stadium?) but if only there was a cap on what StubHub would allow people to sell tickets for - though admittedly that goes against their scummy business model.

I reckon we should get in early and start a campaign to get Courage best and beers from the redemption Brewery sold in the ground.
The latter is brewed next the ground in Brantwood Road and have a cracking ale called Hopspur,named in hounour of London's finest.
They sold it for a week the season before last,but despite selling well it was a one off.

I have been told that it is going to be sold in the ground, or at least the club are in favour to do it. As part of the planning application The Club were at pains to state they wanted and were encouraging local business to be suppliers.

I could see one of the cranes moving during the game from my seat in the East Upper yesterday - there was a small passage of play in the second half where there were three throw ins punctuated by them subbing a player, who took 2 minutes to cross the field - where it was definitely the most interesting thing happening.

They are falling into the trap of thinking that ticket sales for a new stadium will improve or remain constant at worse - the reality is they will drop once the novelty wears off, particularly in a stadium that will struggle for atmosphere.

While we know the figures around the Emirates are misleading, the football played at Upton Park currently is a fair bit more exciting than at Woolwich - all things remaining the same I would be surprised to see West Ham overtake Woolwich (it is my view that Woolwich are on the precipice of a massive crash, with the likes of Sanchez potentially leaving and the quality of many teams equal to them).

If we're saying that West Ham's support > Woolwich in terms of atmosphere generation, if we're saying that West Ham's football is better than Woolwich's, I don't see why they won't overtake Woolwich as a tourist destination, not least because of how competitively priced the tickets are.

So, as much as it pains me to say, we should probably wait and see before casting too many dispersions.

Truth of the matter is though, attendances are dictated by success no matter how "attractive" your football.
