A few of us have said it, but he really is going to be like a new signing for us. Yes I can see why people are frustrated with our lack of business this summer, but this is a high quality player that Pochettino openly stated would need the remainder of last season to regain match fitness.

For those of you who didn’t see him at the top of his game in the past, you’re in for a treat. He’s a quick thinker with the skill to back it up. He’ll frustrate people because his positive way of playing inevitably means more often than not it won’t lead to anything, but when it does it can create exactly the kinds of opportunities we’ve been crying out for.

Only seen a few highlights, but god he looked good today. Can't wait to see what he can do.

Should force himself into the first 11 .
Imagine how good it would be if we had a new creative game changing central midfielder threading balls , setting up play and controlling tempo, playing behind him and Eriksen.

Was awesome seeing him and Lamella linking up... both have the ability to thread a ball or dribble past players.

How can players defend against that? Sit back they thread a pass, go tight, they take you on or draw a foul as space opens up somewhere else...

Lucas was everywhere. Watched the game.
His work rate was immense.
He leapt like a Salmon at one point midway into our own half to win a header.
He was nearly taken out by Pellegrini after a lovely pieces of skill.
It’s only pre season, but he looked like he’s got the message.

Roma definitely ended up trying to kick him off the pitch. Dirty gits!

Be fascinating to see how he plays against Barca, they'll be a much sterner test for us especially our defence.

He's going to have a big role to play this coming season.

That’s like his PSG highlights tape

But as a single match

Its only a preseason friendly, but every game he plays in lily white he is more confident, knows where his team mates will be

Some of those balls he won taking on multiple players, his stutter step before his second, fuck me, starting to see why Neymar was pissed off he was sold by Emery (or, as I will now forever call him, Bumwipe Enema - perfect name for a Manager of the Arsewipes)

And to think he may have a point to prove to Bumwipe Enema in those NLDs as well....

He's definitely a player who needs game time to work out the way his teammates move around. Explains why he was on the periphery at PSG. He might earn a first team start on the back of this tour.
