OK, he won't be breaking many records this season but he will be creeping up the charts.

Best player in the world for me. It would be an absolute travesty if he wins nothing in his career. I wish Spurs would do everything we can to win trophies with him.

When you think about it, he's got to be right up there when he's at his best. It's certainly not Messi or Ronaldo anymore. You've got Salah, De Bruyne, Kane, Mbappe... Neymar talent wise, although he's an absolute melt. Not gonna say Lewandowski until he joins a proper league. Haaland, Foden, Pedri and Bellingham will soon be right up there off the top of my head.

When he’s “at it” in this playmaker role he is as good as anybody.

Protects the ball so well and the vision and technique is out of this world. I think the last few weeks is as good as he’s ever been.

There were a couple of seasons where he would seem to bulldoze his way past players, making goals all by himself.

His passing and positioning have improved - now he's less dynamic but more of an all rounder. I miss those old days, but he's still good if not better.

We need to offer the guy 500k a week. It was a pleasure watching him play yesterday.
don't get me wrong , he's great... but, being devils advocate, if you paid three of the right players 200, 200 and 100 could that be even better? (yes, yes... assumes top quality scouting)
