But his history shows lots of other injuries.

So what?

This season he's been on and off with his hamstring. Missing games here and there as well as a big chunk of games earlier.

Now they're struggling to understand whats the actual issue with his hamstring. He'll go for surgery, come back in a few months time. Sold in summer.

So if it's not his hamstring, it'll just be something else. As all the facts prove.

It is is hamstring...

Jesus christ :ange-facepalm:
The point is, why keep putting up with a player who can get injury on any part of his body in his sleep.

Today it's his hamstring. Surgery may fix it, but then he'll just injure something else the next time. And the time after that. The guy barely fucking plays and still manages to get injured.

FML, I shouldn't have had to write all that.

Whos saying to keep putting up with him?

:ange-facepalm2:

Youre the one who brought up all the injuries hes had since birth whether at the club or not. I didnt.

He'll be gone in the summer.

Sell him! He's done his hamstring! While we are at is sell, VdV, Romero, Davies, and Veliz as they have all done theirs this season.
Four years of utter unreliability but you want to pretend he's just unfortunate like Veliz. Sell him because he has been an epic waste of money not because his latest injury, just like fat belly. People just don't want to face the reality of this transfer. He's done stick a fork in him. Two of biggest transfers for what they have produced have been shocking value for money there's no hiding the facts

Has he had his issues?

Yes.

But to single him out when our squad is dropping like flies with hamstrings isn't really fair. Maybe it is a precaution by Ange to make sure he isn't out long term.

But the rest of the squad have much better history when it comes to injuries. There's a difference between one off, unfortunate issues and GLC (and to a more obvious extent) Sessegnon. Both are clogging up the 25 man squad and wage allocation.
In all honesty, we'll have to see how it goes, but I could see Romero becoming a problem too.

Yep. Pointless having a squad player who is injured when you really need him. See he's out again this weekend. Utterly pointless. If we were to get a reasonable offer this window i'd be tempted to take it.
It's why we need to sell him and Sessegnon. We have squad restrictions and wages to pay. No good having them taken up by players who are unavailable so often.

Yea, exactly that...

No point of holding on to player who is useless most of the time. And OF COURSE he also lets the team down in the moment when we would have needed him the most - when both Madders AND Kulusevski were out of the game.

There is also opportunity cost related to squad spots - if you keep someone who is not usable mostly and is not getting any better anymore at this age, it is just wasted chance. When we could in fact give the place in squad for someone who could potentially get better in the future.

I get that you are trying to be funny and all...

But look at his injury record. Not just hammy - everything. Now look at how much he has played this season, and how many games he has been sidelined. To save you some time, I can tell you -

21 EPL games so far
6 games unavailable directly due to injury ; 3 different ones during this season and 4th in the summer, from which he seemed to be recovering during first rounds
5 games unused sub after returning from different injuries
4 games very limited playing time after returning from different injuries
that is FIFTEEN (!) games from 21.
From reminder he has had 4 starts and 2 substitution appearances.

21 games mean 1890 minutes of EPL football played out of which GLC has played 411
23% of overall minutes.

So that means even IF Maddison can start *big if

One of Skipp/Hojb has to play…

If Maddison can’t start…. Both play.
