Yeah, it's been mentioned. I don't remember if I chimed in on that or not, but I would take Sherwood over Moyes every day of the week.
Totally agree. The man has been an abject failure at United. Even we are likely to finish above them after our annus horribilis. His style of football makes AVB's look positively attractive & free flowing. He is definitely NOT the man for the job IMO. My jaw is still aching from hitting the floor when I read the newspaper link.

Moyes defo out of the running, thank fuck for that. He has just taken a job @ Sky

Was in a pub once and some hardcore wannabe feminists (little girls who have no one idea what they think they represent) took our table when we went to the bar.....just sat on our jackets and pushed our stuff to the side.

Started all this crap about us being pigs when we turfed them....I said your lucky I'm a pig, if I you want equal rights I would have knocked you out by now if you were a bloke.

We could have had him when he still had his reputation in tact at Everton and we opted for AVB instead. If we didn't do it then, it doesn't make sense that we'd do it now. Only would happen in extreme desperation IMO.

David Moyes: Kevin Sheedy criticises Manchester United boss
Everton academy coach Kevin Sheedy has criticised Manchester United manager David Moyes for his tactics.
Sheedy, who coaches the Everton under-18 side, worked under former Toffees boss Moyes at Goodison Park.
After United's 3-0 defeat by Liverpool on Sunday, Sheedy tweeted: "All of you out there, Moyes was never interested in our youth team or players."
Sheedy also criticised Moyes's tactics, adding: "Punt the ball up to [Marouane] Fellaini - great viewing."
Moyes was Everton manager for 11 years from 2002 until last summer, when he left to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
Under Moyes's replacement Roberto Martinez, Everton are three points ahead of United in sixth place.
Sheedy, 54, said: "We now have a manager who wants to win games."

Top four a long way off - Moyes
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Sheedy - who made over 300 league appearances for Everton - later deleted the tweets at the request of the club.
United's league form has left them 12 points adrift of fourth place and Moyes's side are looking increasingly unlikely to secure a Champions League qualification spot.
However, they could still qualify as tournament winners and attacking midfielder Juan Mata called on his Old Trafford team-mates to overcome their 2-0 first leg deficit to Olympiakos of Greece at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old, who is cup-tied for the Champions League last-16 match, said: "We know the history of this club and its achievements, based on a winning spirit.
"That is what we need to beat Olympiakos and get through in the Champions League."
Former Manchester United Youth team coach Eric Harrison brought through class of '92 that included Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Robbie Savage.
And asked if Moyes would hold on to his job, Harrison told BBC Radio's 5 live: "By the skin of his teeth, I would think. They say the buck stops with the manager, I do feel sorry for him.
"When he does his interviews, I'm not saying he looks ill - but he doesn't look right.
"I hope this [bad run] comes to an end against Olympiakos, because that's our only option."

It has to be roberto martinez, and should have been him instead of avb at the time.If he could keep a wigan dressing room together through all the relegation battles then he has to be best in leauge for me.we should do everything we can to get him and some of his players.

I was not in favour of Martinez when we got AVB, on the basis he had no "bigger club" credentials. However I was always a fan and have watched him with interest.

If we pulled him in in the summer Id be quite happy with that, though I suspect its far from likely. He took Everton knowing he would have time and autonomy, I dont see him giving that up yet.

Fuck me, how things change quickly.

The guy was lorded on here by many people last summer.....how come Levy should give a manger time, but you lot should'nt......

If you liked the work Moyes did for 10 years at Everton, why have you written him off after 3/4 of his first season at Utd?

We all pissed ourselves at Brendan Rodgers too.....

I dont want Moyes, and never have. Didnt like his football at Everton and thought the shoestring budget argument was bollocks. He earned tens of millions from players like Rooney, Arteta, Lescott etc.yet brough in people like Jermain Beckford.

Bit of an odd thing to say. Trendy Levy-Bashing as per norm.

Roberto Martinez's longest job is 4 years - of which he had 176 games and won a whopping 51.. (29% win rate). AVB won just 7 less games in 96 less matches and yet the majority call him a flop.

Redknapp would have had the exact same job length or longer (he was about 4 months short of 4 years) if he'd known a little more about loyalty.

I'd wait for the 2nd season before I judged Martinez, personally.

He's inherited a defensively minded team and built on that with his own attack minded approach.

When the Moyes legacy of that team fades it will be interesting to see if that part of their game suffers. Wigan had some truly awful losses, almost to the point of being defensively naive

No. Fuck that.

Hopefully he doesn't become the next SAF or we'll look back at this thread like: :adewtf::paulinhobored::avbshock::harrysmile::vdvcry:
Tbh, I don't think managers can make it at EVERY club they are at. The exceptional ones can succeed at a lot of places they go, but there are still ideal fits for the club. I don't think Moyes would suit us...

Fuck no. Didn't want him 2 years ago, certainly don't want him now. The guy can't even get goals with RVP Rooney and Mata, What the fuck is he going to do to Soldado, Kane and Townsend.
No. Just.. fucking no.

The fact that he doesn't know how to use Mata properly tells me everything I need to know about Moyes. Add in his boring personality and boring football and I would be self harming within the first couple of weeks with him in charge.
