So taking into account today's' rather dubious developments at UEFA... does the point Utd bored their way to gained tonight now guarantee them CL football again next season?

Just curious as to how it will work...

Unless I am getting this wrong it is not about qualifying for CL which is still Premiership position but seeding if they qualify. Previously if you miss a few years then your seeding is affected but they are suggesting if you have ever won it then you get a higher seeding than teams that qualify more often.
