I'm not his biggest fan (the Monaco game at Wembley probably broke me there), but while I don't think he's well suited to a LWB role, he might actually end up being a revelation as the left-hand side of the three CBs. There, pace isn't as important, and we all know that having Toby next to you seems to get the most out of our defenders.
As for Kyle Walker-Peters: well, if he's as good as
WindyCOYS
says, then he might find himself being the rotation for Rose sooner rather than later (should Davies stake a claim in the back three).

Nothing. But if Vertonghen is out a while then I would like to see Davies and Wimmer rotate in that left-central defence position. I think this is also a good time to buy Tierney as back up to Rose because Davies will be busy in a more central role.
I also think Davies played well centrally in the Euros and think that he might be better as a Vertonghen understudy than as a Rose one.
