Mourinho sold him to us when Redknapp was manager. I think that speaks volumes about Mourinho's judgement of what he demanded from his players & what a special player like VDV could achieve at our club.

In short I think Mourinho, like Conte, does recognize exceptional talent, but the team ethos of these coaches means the player has to be prepared to accept the coach's demands. And be physically capable of working tremendously hard.
