It's like a reverse of when we played Juve. We were the young, pressing, attacking side who were the better team over two legs, but Juve's experience was crucial and carried them through. Hopefully same for us this year.

In 2010 these twats were averaging league attendances of 2,150. They were playing regional football up until 2013. Some Stevenage level of bullshit. Who do we want in quarters?

Happy with that draw, would have loved Valencia but this is the next best thing.

Who knows how both sides fortunes may have changed by the time we face each other. I remember Dortmund being the team I Did not want to play during the draw last year but by the time we played them they were hanging on to top spot in the Bundesliga for dear life in awful form.

There are serious rumours that RB might be selling 1 or 2 of their players in jan, We also might have brought 1 or 2 in. Who knows what form we might be in by then.

At the end of the day this is a brilliant draw for us given the other options we could of had, I don’t get why some people are so scared, every team is a good team at this stage.

RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is relishing the prospect of facing Tottenham Hotspur in the Champion League round of 16.

The 32-year-old is looking forward to making his way to north London in February after the two teams were paired up in Monday's draw.

Nagelsmann is one of the hottest young managerial prospects in Europe right now and was considered for the job at Tottenham after Mauricio Pochettino's depature.

Instead he will come up against Jose Mourinho, but it is a particular building along Tottenham High Street that he is most looking forward to about the draw. (No, it's not Chick King)

"Tottenham is a very nice and exciting tie!" he told Leipzig's social media channel. "They're one of Europe's top teams, playing in a fantastic city with star players who have a lot of experience. It won't be easy but we're really looking forward to it, especially playing in that stadium.

"Spurs have a world-class manager in Jose Mourinho. The games will be exciting and we'll need to put in two top performances. We're more than capable of doing that. What a tie! We can't wait!"

Leipzig are currently top of the Bundesliga, having scored more goals than anyone else in the German top flight, with Timo Werner leading the line with 16 goals.

Spurs will be happy they swerved some of the competition's biggest teams for one who is making its first appearance in the Champions League knockout stages, but Leipzig will present a formidable test for Mourinho's men.

"I think from the teams that finished second, I think the teams that finished first will wish they don’t play against us. We are one of the strongest teams from the second group," he said.

"I know we are a country that goes through a crazy period which many, many times leaves marks on players and teams and conditions, but by the end of February I will understand my players better, they will understand me better.

"We have two more months of work together. I think so, we will be much more ready."

Why the fuck are people so happy about drawing the team top of the Bundesliga. Perfect record from the last 5 league games. Scoring for fun. 6 points ahead of the team that utterly embarrassed us 10-3 on aggregate.
I get that we avoided PSG, Barca, RM etc. but I honestly don't think the task at hand now is any easier particularly.

Has anyone actually watched any of their football this year? That league position isn't going to have been achieved through luck.

The only teams we could draw were PSG, Juve, Barca, RB Leipzig or Valencia.

On paper, this is the second easiest draw we can get. Leipzig lost and drew to Lyon and Drew to Benfica. We're better than both teams.

They might be doing incredible in their own league, but that doesn't translate to Champions League success. Their experience in the competition is minimal, having only ever been in it twice, including this year.

I think it's a great tie for us. An inexperienced 32-year-old manager, with an inexperienced team vs Mourinho and us? I think we've got the better side of that exchange.

Great draw.

I think Mourinho will revel in picking apart this lot on the counter.

I think City get past Madrid quite comfortably, they are a shell of their former selves.
Chelsea will get bummed.
Pool will scrape through, but that's a dodgy tie for them.

All things considered it's a good draw for us. They're a good team for sure and are playing very well at the moment but the first game isn't for 2 months, a lot can change.

Obviously will not be easy, these things never are.
