I thought it was pretty spot on.
Almost a week gone by and we've heard absolutely nothing to explain what has gone on, why he was sacked, what the plan is now.

Is Donna Cullen just sitting around painting her nails? Like I said before, name me one other big global brand that would communicate so scarcely after getting rid of a senior member of its decision making team.
We are not supported any more we are customers. And so we have a right to know what these people are doing with the money that we are directly or indirectly putting into the business.
Imagine if Amazon crashed for 5 days. Do you think all we would hear is 'our site is down stand by for further news?'
It's high time Levy addressed us head on. I don't really care what the new strategy is. I will back it completely and support the club. But leaving us all high and dry like this is a piss take.

I don't mind what the trust does but I wish these #ProfitNotGlory wankers would stop.

You work at McDonalds. If the bookies were normally wrong, you wouldn't need to flip burgers, you'd be making money off the bookies.

:ossie:
Spending all Your dole money on the roulette machines doesn't count as working in a bookies even if you do occasionally go home with enough money to buy a happy meal from me on your way home.

:adelol:

No need to sound out replacements behind anybodys back if you make the right decision from the start and then be man enough to back your decision for longer than 18 months.

Seriously.

I'm thinking about disowning you lot. I don't recognise our fan base at all.

If the club wasn't such a shambles I wouldn't recognise Tottenham.

It's enough to make a man foster a decent weed habit.....

I don't get it? What's wrong with the egg fronting up for once?

I don't think I've ever heard him speak. He lurches us from crisis to crisis but remains Teflon Dan.

Why don't you want him to give some answers?

Just my personal opinion, but I think the reasons for AVB's sacking were self-evident enough to not require explanation.
It’s not just the three hammerings that we’d taken in as many months or the fact that we’d won two out of seven games following the Liverpool disaster; it’s the fact that our tactics, the level of harmony and understanding between the players, and basically our sense of team spirit was in total disarray.

AVB was brought in as a ‘project’ manager and yet it didn’t even look like he had the foundations of a project down after an 18 month stint at the helm. To add to that, the fact that he couldn’t make it work with basically any of the new players he was given, and that he was in fact willing to publicly complain about not getting the totally unrealistic signings he’d wanted, indicates he was far from pragmatic or consensual enough to work with Levy for any long stretch of time either.

AVB was brought in to be the ‘long term’ guy, and IMO he’d demonstrated fairly clearly by last weekend that he wasn’t going to meet that brief. No progress, no level of trust or mutual respect with the chairman, constant standoffs with the media and a hint of biting the hand that fed him starting to creep into his press attitude as well. This was evidently never going to work out over time.

All potentially true but still speculation because you or I do not work at the club.
I also don't agree about the lack of team spirit or harmony amongst the players. I've yet to see one player still at the club say a bad word against him and most have said they really enjoyed training and desperately wanted him to do well. Direct quotes. From the players.

I'm not ignoring the reasons from a fans perspective why he possibly deserved the sack. But right now we're staring into the abyss with seemingly no plan or direction from anyone and I think it would be nice to have some reassurance that this decision was best for the club and some reasons to be optimistic.

We have become no better than Chelsea at manager treatment and at this rate I doubt we d be able to attract good names in the future. Completely, utterly pointless sacking right before Christmas, with no clear indication of replacement even being considered at the time. I agree with Jimmy completely here - all this hot-air talk about a long-term project is exactly that if we're unwilling to back a manager up properly at some point and give him 5 years min to implement his ideas. We've just spent over 100m on 7 top class new players and there s talk of new signings in Jan - fucking embarrassing - laughing stock of the PL again

Anyone read the Trust's statement? I admire anyone who sticks up for fans, but Jesus Wept, the tone of it was really quite something. Demanding and condescending. Yeah guys, you're gonna get far with that one...
