I think it’s more the case that it wouldn’t be a surprise if we lose. Our form has been awful and I can‘t imagine that the mood in the dressing room is one that’s brimming with confidence. Concede to a set piece again, and heads are likely to drop.
It’ll be interesting to see how they perform against Liverpool, to see if Ange has lit a fire under them with his words or if they’ll just stroll through the motions for the rest of the season. Of course, the hope is that it’s the former, with a bit of good luck that can only help with belief.

Yep. We beat Burnley and Sheffield United we are guaranteed to finish 5th, irrelevant of what the teams below us do. As much as we have been stinking the joint out recently, to drop points in either of those would be more unacceptable than the past few games.
I say guaranteed as Man United can still get 66 points as well but our GD, somehow, is still 10 better than theirs currently.

I dont even think they are that good. We have just been utterly shit all 2024 and have handed it to them. Annoying.
No bitterness towards them, they didn't beat us to it we threw it away. Think it will be hard on them next season, much like it was for Newcastle this season.

We'd have to lose to at least 1 of the bottom 2 teams who have nothing but pride to play for at this time.
