What would we have paid if all his seasons had been like his first and Euros. More than £30M? In this market probably £45M+ and he wouldn't have looked at us. It's a risk but if he finds his form then it could be seen as good business. Yup a risk but we'll have to wait and see, hopefully he'll want to prove a few wrong. Lets also remember Poch doesn't have time for trouble makers so they must be sure of his character, spoke to Hugo etc, him direct? Perhaps Newcastle made promises they didn't keep? Who knows and no excuse for not putting in a shift if you're being paid but it's tricky to be motivated for a company than treats you like shite.

It's rare to see us all so split on a player transfer as we are on Sissoko.
Even though I'm glad we got it over the line yesterday, I can't say I'm as excited as I should be over a £30m signing.

But then again, lukewarm fan opinion may be a good thing if the expectations on Sissoko are so low they're down with dinosaur bones. He may just surprise a few.

An expensive player I was excited about? Soldado.
Fuck it.

Based on the Euros, we have the better player Sissoko was far better the Pogba. and only a third of the price.Lets see how the season pans out, Im sure he will be good for us. I personally don't care about the money, PL is full of overpaid twats thats shouldn't be there-lets hope he's not one of them..

Intrigued to see how Poch deals with his work rate, as Toon fans main complaint seems to be his lack of effort for them. As others have said, if we've signed the Euros one then great, if it's the Newcastle version then the jury's out!

One of my favorite parts of transfer deadline day is seeing all the cunts come out of the woodwork just to talk shit about our business.

Nice to see you lads. Until January

I'm not on his back. I'm not saying any of this to Sissoko, and honestly I doubt he'd really give a shit if I did.

Moussa Sissoko: Newcastle midfielder 'waiting' on Real Madrid approach

"I hope Real will come for me, I'm still waiting," Sissoko told World Football.

I'm not saying that new signings should see Spurs as the pinnacle of their career (because let's face it, if they're really good then we aren't), but I'm a little worried that he'll see Spurs as nothing more than a richer Newcastle and play the same day for Spurs that he did for them. Surely there's some truth to all the bitching from Newcastle fans online, it can't all just be sour grapes.

So he sets high standards, if he was "waiting" on a Stoke approach, you would say he's an ambitiousness cunt. If you want your cake and eat it go support Yanited of Citeh.

I can't think of a single player worth a shit who wouldn't want to dream of a call from Real Madrid.

Did anyone see Lamela evolving into the essential type of player that he is for our system? Or that Dembele would ever find his correct position let alone becoming our "first name on the sheet" player.

What about seeing the immediate impact Dier would have being moved to DM? Or that Ali would break into the first team in his first season in spectacular fashion.

What about Rose and Walker being the two established starting England full backs. Or Wimmer making us question whether Vertonghan should be getting back into the team after his injury.

No... Me neither. Wash the sand out your fannies and have some faith in the manager and stop writing off a player before he's even kicked a ball for us, let alone had a season to settle in and show us what he can really do.

He's wasn't the first name on any of our lists but he's who we've got.

Post of the day.

If anyone one here thinks that Levy splashes 30 mill here and 30 mill there in vain hope of landing a stella signing then your mightily mistaken.

Poch knows talent when he see's it and can shape a players future, and if you think that i am full of bullshit on this go look at the quotes from Rose, Walker, Dier, Dele, and Kane when they talk about their game changing Manager.

The Sissoko transfer was no punt in the dark, hit and hope, lottery draw of a deal but very much a calculated transfer of a player that offers, pace, strength and has a good pass and can play to Poch's energetic high press system.

Now get over yourselves and support the player.

I've got no problem with winning the race for a player Everton thought they had, but the way Sissoko handled the u-turn really bothers me. He should have had the courtesy to tell Koeman that he was accepting our offer rather than ignore his phone calls. It doesn't matter if it was embarrassment, a lack of balls or plain rudeness, it's a bad sign.

For the record, on balance, I'm pleased we signed him. I agree with most that the fee is way over par, but I believe we're a stronger, more agile squad with him, and are better equipped to deal with the season ahead.

Sissoko couldn't tell Koeman until our bid was accepted or he's stuck at Newcastle
