Five Star !
Great 5-1 Win to cement place at top of the table

Same points as Wham in 2nd but ahead on GD, and Wham have only one more game to play, whilst Spurs have 3 games to play.

None of the clubs in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th can now overtake Spurs at top of the table !

Yeah 1 game knockout bracket with the top 16 teams and with the team that finished higher at home. 1st vs 16th 2nd vs 15th etc.

There is nothing explicit that I've seen on PL website about the PL2 play offs, and this format is only being introduced this year, but logically it has to be a series of matches - last 16, last 8, last 4 and finals (so 4 matches for the 2 teams getting to finals), starting with round of 16 being 1st v16th, 2nd v 15th.

Shame in a sense as over the first 20 matches of PL2, it looks as if Spurs will finish top, total contrast to last season when we were 2nd from bottom.

No info as to whether there'll be a draw at each stage or whether the draw will be entirely based on finishing position. Hoping it is the latter and we get home games all the way through the bracket for finishing top.

Obviously still a few games to play so will switch about a lot but could look like this

Slight refinement - if its 1st v 16th, 2nd v 15th etc so as to have some meaning for the PL2 table up to this point (and 'reward' for those finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc it would be more logical to have 1st v 16th at the top of the able and 2nd v 15th in the 'other half' of the table - the logic being that if the playoff works that there is a chance that the final becomes 1st v 2nd, semi final could involve 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th etc.

And as you say, the highest placed in table of any tie gets to play at home.
