Just noticed when looking at some photos from the Colchester game the U21'S wasn't wearing the elite kit? Is that normal?

Jude Soonsup-Bell looks like a great pick up from Chelsea.

Joined on last day of transfer window of January 2023 apparently for no fee (but likely a development fee) and a sell on clause as his Chelsea contract only ran to June 2023 and he was adamant he wasn't signing another one.

Only about 2 year ago he was seen as an up and coming star getting as far as a first team debut against Brentford in a domestic cup in December 2021. But over the next year his form took a tumble and he was looking at the multi million pound transfers coming to Chelsea and realised he was going nowhere.

In 2nd half of last season he played a few u21 games for Spurs taking a little time to adjust to change of club before getting injured. But he's started this season really well scoring and getting assists (total 9 goal involvements this season in 6 games) and getting back to the form where he was regarded as a top talent.

I think in Ange system he'd make a very decent right winger. And another who could probably benefit from a loan in January when he will just turn to being 20 years old.

eligible England and...Thailand!

Jude’s surname, Soonsup (ซุ่นทรัพย์), comes from his maternal grandfather, who is Thai. His maternal grandmother is English and his Father, Michael Bell, is of English and Irish descent. So probably eligible for Ireland as well.

Played for England until E u19's, after which injury, loss of form and not playing much for Chelsea u21's meant no more E call ups. However with his current form at Spurs would be no surprise if E u21 coach looked at him.

Breaking through into Cardiff first team, coming off bench in many/most matches, which is about right for his age (21). Has scored 3 goals this season so has put a marker down. But I don't know enough about Cardiff to give much insight
I had to look this up, they're doing quite well. Record against top/big teams -

Lost 2-1 at Leicester (added time goal)
Lost 3-2 at Ipswich after 2-0 up. Ex-Spur managing ITFC and doing a great job there too.
Leeds away 2-2, again after 2-0 up.

If they're competing that well against those sorts of teams away, then I'd be hopeful of challenging for play off positions at end of season.

Agreed, top half of the Championship table certainly and realistically could easily be in play off contention.

Kion Etete is not a bad striker although raw, and if he continues to get minutes off he bench and later gets starts, I think he could get into double figures for Cardiff which would be a good result for both Cardiff and Etete. I equally think Walcott could do a decent job for them as a back up CB this season.

The day before the game's even starting Spurs are not only announcing the line-up but also the exact minutes of the substitutes

We need to win today to stay with the leading pack.

The four teams above us, have either won (Chelsea) or are currently leading (Fulham, Westham & Villa) in their respective games today.
