He was so handsome
Well, none of us can fight the ravages of time unfortunately (unless we spend a fortune on cosmetic surgery, of course!)Was?
Who's going to put there hand up and confess it was them ?
and one time of Spurs !
Reckon that has to be around 80, 81?
Yes, it doesn't look like a home game, although it seems to be on Tottenham High Road. The '801...' part of the phone number on the Greek-Cypriot supermarket tells me it's a home game but it's as though we're marching under escort to an away game. And a flag that big with sticks at a home game seems very surreal - it really seems like a 'Wembley' banner. An away game at Highbury - unlikely? The picture seems a couple of years to early for the replay against Wolves but there are a couple of kids with rosettes on.
Basically, no idea.
Yes, you could be right.Yes, it doesn't look like a home game, although it seems to be on Tottenham High Road.
I was thinking/guessing that it could be crowds gathering on the High Road before a victory parade, possibly 1981.
Jokes aside, but it's depressing that the vast amount of good memories we have are in the distant past. The caption underneath says that it is the '81 victory parade........ Remember those?
Bit of a myth by all accounts. He attended spurs games with mates as he was fairly local, but supported his home town Club, Barnet. What I got told anyway.Yep + supposedly Motty is too
Talking with Nutter-Naylor yesterday, we both admitted to watching old games and reminiscing more and more. Also, someone sent me a brief summary of our last season at The Lane, brought a lump to my throat. How that team didn't win something will remain a mystery to me.Jokes aside, but it's depressing that the vast amount of good memories we have are in the distant past.
Has anyone on here's dad still got a Ford Cortina?...
