They still have Neves right?

They were counter-attacking team with a lot of pace. Evetually, others figured them out, that's why they were meeh (poor) this season.
That’s not the case. They lost their two strikers. And had an 18 year old up front. That’s why....

Yeah I can't speak to his Porto side, and it helps having the likes of Traore and Jota and Moutinho to be an eye-catching watch. But to compare his Wolves to Mourinho-ball is unfair.

The thing about Mourinho isn't even the tactics per se, so much as the obvious and almost in-your-face cynicism of the tactics. The football coach and the press conference troll merchant just meld into an oppressive cloud over everything. He's one of a kind, for better or worse.
On the pitch, Nuno and Jose setup their teams to play a very similar style of football. As a team, they've never finished higher than 12th in terms of overall possession. They play counter attacking football, pure and simple.

Let's look at Potter vs. Nuno this season...

More goals scores? Brighton.

Fewer goals allowed? Brighton.

More team possession? Brighton.

Better xPTS? Brighton.

More eye catching football? Brighton.

More points? Wolves.

The only thing you could possibly give Nuno is that he grinds out results which has given them 4 more points than Brighton this season.

Is this an argument for Potter? No, my point is if you want Nuno but hate the idea of Potter, you should reconsider.
