No awful pun this time but small factlet (all factlets are small, I guess): the town of Frosinone has fuck all going on (other than today) but the province of Frosinone is where the town of Cassino lies, famed for the Abbey of Montecassino. In WW2 a major battle took place to remove the Axis forces from the abbey, resulting in much loss of life and specifically the loss of over 1,000 Polish soldiers, so the place has a deep meaning in particular to Poles, even to this day. There is a Polish cemetery very close to the Abbey. My mother is from just outside the town. But she's not Polish.
