Hands up who has any interest in international football anymore?

I Dont Think So Not Me GIF

First match after the break is home v Villa on Sunday 26th.

Good news is that even those with long flights back to UK should be back to train on Friday - bad news is that of those with long distance travel, Son plays on Tuesday as does Bentancur whilst Romero, Royal and Lo Celso play on Wednesday so its 12 hour plus flights between games and first training which isn't ideal.

Personally I think Dorrington, Phillips and Donley shouldn't have gone on international duty.

Probably suggests they're further away from first team action than we think.

The players are called up by their international FA's whether for youth teams or full team.

The club has no power to stop them going on international duty. So it says nothing positive or negative about the players being involved in first team.

The only thing to read into their call ups is they are considered the best in their age groups bt The FA

Yeah I get ya but surely would make sense to be with the club if you're due to get minutes at senior level, I remember Eric Dier( probably not the best example)not going on international duty as he didn't want to be with under 21's as a RB IIRC.

Side note.. I suppose most of squad ain't there anyway and could possibly create pressure for the young lads.
