Brighton had started to score at a decent rate this season before Potter left. To some extent I think De Zerbi has benefitted from the two years of work Potter did, but that's not to degrade what De Zerbi is doing either, like Potter, he's done good work wherever he's been, I think his football carries more risk than Potter's, but is more exciting to watch, maybe with the right personnel, more rewarding?
Yeah, so in other words, a lot of what he wrote about XG "not taking into account the circumstances" was bollocks and it in fact could be boiled down to Potter's been at two clubs that don't have have very good finishers, regardless of how good the chances are.

I agree with this in principle but the modern game just isnt like that. Players are told what to do and where to be by the coaches. Ancelotti can do this because he coaches world class talent.
