Chris Foy, who Fergie wasn't happy with at the weekend, has been demoted to League 2 for the weekends fixtures.

Yeah, saw that. Hasnt reffed in League 2 for 4 1/2 years. Hmmm.

I actually see what Blanchflower was trying to say the other day now....in that 1yr and 4 days, we've only played them twice at OT. Thats what he meant that 23yrs only sounds alot I guess?

Still, nothing can piss on this bonfire!

Yet when everyone complained about is far worse match he had against us at Stoke last season he was still refereeing in the premier league afterwards. Shocking.

From ESPN:

The Merseyside official has been given the League Two clash between Accrington Stanley and Rochdale this Saturday in the wake of Ferguson's rant.

However, Premier League bosses insist Foy has not been demoted and have backed his Old Trafford performance.

"There is absolutely no truth in suggestions Chris has been demoted or punished in some way," spokesman Phil Dorward said. "The fact is it is his turn to officiate at a League game this weekend.

"Chris has refereed more Premier League games than most this season and there is a rota system in place.

"We have been delighted with the standard of Chris's performances. He's having a good season."

Hmmmmm... Do we believe? :avbshit:

If he was having a good season then they would want him in charge of the more high profile games as to get a good standard of officiating.

Clattenburg was fucking awful on Monday night and I bet he's got another premier league gig this upcoming weekend.

We know he can organise a deep backline and team, and he has the players to carry it out. If they play like they did in the second half against us though, we'll destroy them. Utd, for all their attacking players, lacked any real penetration based on a plan. What's up with Nani, didn't he used to fancy a dribble. He's turning into Ronaldo the Automaton Mark II.

:adelol:
