I didn't watch in person but I was told he was playing number 10, behind striker in 4-2-3-1Anyone know where he lined up in the game?
Playing Wing? AM? CM?
He'll be a league 2 player within 5 yearsPlayed for England against France in the Under 19's Championship tonight. England won 2-1.
Kyle Walker-Peters is also in the squad.
I've not seen him play enough to have formed a solid opinion of his future prospects. I have read that he's highly thought of with us and at national level as he's represented England at every age group. He'll be a league 2 player within 5 years
Could be worse - he could be at Celtic. He'll be a league 2 player within 5 years
He hasn't watched him play a single youth game. He is commenting solely on his appearances in the first team. Don't bother with him. He's a troll.I've not seen him play enough to have formed a solid opinion of his future prospects. Have you seen him play much or is it a hunch you have as you seem certain on this.
Didn't do alot tonight, played behind the striker and looked kind of not bothered by everything, not tracking back, but was the only one pressing at times.
Isn't he supposed to be a centre mid not attacking?
His first action was to take on and beat Milner, then win a corner. Must have been inside first min of coming on. His next was to receive the ball on half way line, with his back to goal with 4 oppo players around him, he turned took two out of the game, then ran between the other two (can't remember what he did in next action, but I know he didn't lose possession). Thrid action was again to take the ball with oppo around him, think he tried to take on someone and it didn't come off. Fourth was to press high. Fith the final whistle blew.
Moving this out of the Bentaleb thread...
Someone's made a highlights reel, would you believe? The bit around 53 seconds in is what I thought was a good sign for a young lad with little experience..
When I watch this back it's like watching sharks smelling blood in the water. Liverpool POUNCED on Onomah. I still maintain that a season long loan to a Premiership side would do this boy a load of good (if he got regular starting time).
I haven't read the other thread, but people are making him out to be bad?I don't think he was as bad as people are making him out to be.
At least he was direct and opted to take on players. The offsides was poor but he need the experience.

He's only 19 FFS and widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, talents of his age in the country. Not to mention that he's been played out of position in his appearances with us to help his development in other areas of his game.
A bit of patience wouldn't go astray I think.
Well done to Josh in his above average performance against Gillingham.
I'm a strict critic of his. I think he lacks the vital attributes of a top flight player and is therefore a drain on our resources. But he did ok last night
Keep sticking the knife into the poor cunt. Young new signing doesn't get a fair crack of the whip even when we need him. Great supporter you.
I think he has shown good signs of quality and I'll support him as he settles in.
