Really liked the look of him. Would be keen to see how he does in midfield. He’s quick, closed down well and kept going. Passing maybe a bit suspect at times, but he’s no worse as DM than who we have.

Very good, although he made 2 mistakes (one at the goal and the other when he slipped and let Robertson through), but that's expected from a lad who's younger than me.

Skipp is the DM from that age-group. Tanganga is the "balls on the line" centreback, if you were to try a youth CB in there you'd probably go with Eyoma or Lyons-Foster given they're better on the ball.

In any case, very pleased to read that he did well, been crying out for him to get a gig for years

Fair. Skip could be the new Roy Keane and I’d not know as he never plays! Must be something wrong for him to never get a sniff.

Great debut against world class opponents imo but he needs to keep his head down and work hard if he wants to become a first team regular. Let’s hope there are more displays like this to come.

Not sure the goal was a mistake. It was a world class touch from Firmino that'd probably fools every centre back in the world. The mistake in that game was the linesman and the referee not spotting it was a clear Spurs throw in

What a shame is that performance probably sees some top European clubs willing to play youth offer him a contract.

It expires in 6 months time - hopefully starting him today means there are talks and a close agreement with him to sign a new deal.
