Re trousaard as he has fallen out with the management should we just get him on loan till end of season?
I wouldn’t want to pay a transfer fee fir him since his contract runs out in the summer. We can then still spend the money saved on buying a proper number 10.

Why would Brighton do that?

Spot on

They're sitting pretty top of the league and still looking to improve, we made a CL final and Levy stuck his wallet in hibernation.

That's what ambition looks like, the ENIC apologists just do not get it and it's staring them right in the face

Bored of pointing this out now, ENIC spent over 100m on players after the CL final in 2019 and a net spend since then to now of nearly £400m but don’t let the facts get in the way huh 😂

Imagine spending all that money but still finding a way to be cheap about it?

If it is on the stadium or training ground they will only accept the best. If it’s the playing staff they will only do it if it’s cheaper than the option they really need.

You'd think it was Woolwich who finished in the champions league last season .

If we don't get a result on Sunday it's going be uncomfortable for levy. He's just a fancy Mike Ashley

You know why they did that right? Part of the reason they were so happy to spend that £100m was from the massive prize money they got from the 2019 CL run. It was like spending birthday money for the club lol. Also helps when you’ve been, let’s call it ‘saving up’, for multiple transfer windows. But let’s not let the facts get in the way huh.

“English clubs received four of the top six distributions: winners Liverpool €111m, runners-up Tottenham Hotspur €102m, Manchester United €93m and Manchester City €93m”

ENIC have their way in the transfer market that does make thing difficult at times but most of the blame has to go to who has been identifying the players we have brought in the last 3/4 years

They still spent it.
I was replying to a poster saying we haven’t spent money since the CL final, which we clearly have, albeit mainly on duds

Earn money = Spend money.

The problem with that is?

The only untruth being spouted is in the post he & I responded to that claimed we STOPPED spending after the CL final when in TRUTH it was the total opposite.

When you have to identify players you can afford instead of identifying the players you like, you are already handicapped.
You think Edu at Woolwich is thinking if they can afford Mudryk?
When Liverpool were behind us they didn’t wonder if they could afford Van Dijk, Allison, or Mane?
No, they got the players they needed.
The Levy and Enic model is not about winning, it’s about doing enough to get seats filled and the bare minimum possible.

Don't talk daft... There are probably 3 teams in the world that can afford to think that way.....

Neither Arse, Spurs or Liverpool are one of them.

Arse are haggling over Mudryk as we speak..... Asking price was 100m and the deal is not done.

Even City (one of the 3) draw the line on certain amounts and deals..... Mind you; perhaps you've not heard of Harry Kane? :kanehand: Cucurella last summer.... VVD when he came up for sale....

ENIC spend what the club generates Levy has said this numerous times. Whatever the club profits on transfer sales, sponsorship, tickets, match day revenue, other events, merchandise and many other things we be spent on the players/ club. Anyone expecting us to spend additional money to this haven’t been paying attention and need to stop crying about it every transfer window because until we get brought out buy a sugar daddy 🙏 thing will not change

If Paratici and Conte identify a 90m player do we even start haggling in our model?

We can’t identify the same profile of player as our closest rivals. Not because of revenue or wealth but because of our owners cheapskate budget model.

Criminal. Going into the NLD with gaping holes because the club tries to shave a few dimes off a release clause etc.

As always. Profit before Glory
