Yeah but you’d rather Ange Ball to Southgate Ball, wouldn’t you? 😉
Would rather have cement poured in my eyes than sit through that again.

I was thinking, we got a lot of young exciting talent in our squad, Maddison creating from midfield, Rice (100 mill for that, feck off), Saka, Bellingham and Kane up front, it's gonna a slaughter....

But nah, we was about as creative and dynamic as shit in a bucket.

It was flat, dull, the football was bitty and broken, played with no flow. The players didn't move or attack the spaces and created almost no chances.

but he is an FA yes man, so what do you expect, the souless footballing void of darkness.

Thought every one in an England shirt was shite the passing was awful slow ponderous and misplaced - thought there were worse players than Maddison wearing England shirts

Southgate isn't a football manager, he is outed time after time yet keeps his position because he says the right things. "B-b-but, we've done well at tournaments!" - what have we won? We got to those positions in spite of Southgate, not because of him.

You've got a series of generational talents in that squad and they're constantly mismanaged.

Put someone like Big Ange in charge if you want success. Promote attacking, high intensity football and let the player's ability stand out. Instead he just blunts the team by promoting wank tactics and sticking quality players in stupid positions. Madders being the prime example yesterday.

Southgate is a dinosaur, given his role by the dinosaurs that run the FA.

His only contribution, if he actually had a part to play in it, has been the improved team cohesion when on England duty instead of prioritising club football and bringing in bad blood from the league competition.

It may just be that the current generation never had the ego of the likes of Ferdinand, so it was always going to be a more pleasant group. They also don't have the baggage of intense club rivalry.

We've outgrown him. Now it's time to put in a real manager, or just an empty suit hanging off a coat hanger, either would be better than him.

Not gonna happen in this day and age, international football is dead, any Manager capable of implementing the style of play that you'd want would be up to his nuts in offers from clubs paying way more than most national team jobs do.

Can you name one top manager in his prime managing a nation right now? It's the feeding ground for the has beens and never weres of football management, even if you lucked in and stumbled across the ultra patriotic type who dreams of one day leading his home nation to glory, he'd still be wanting that day to come after his club career was all but over.

The best it will get for England in the foreseeable future is Eddie Howe once the Newcastle owners discard him for a fancier name, so a PE teacher to replace the substitute History teacher.

Levy did what...?

Bored Whats Up GIF by Paramount Network

tbh I still think Maddison was a Levy signing but a signing Ange wanted nevertheless.

There were very strong links about Levy being insistant that the club will sign Maddison before Ange joined.

Care to share one with me? (Not disputing them, but be nice to know what I'm dealing with.....)
