Well as long as Sakha is playing instead of Maddison, they can do what they want!I assumed that this break was for two Euro qualifiers, but I’ve just read that one is a friendly against Scotland. WTF? That bunch will treat it like the WC final and kick lumps out of the England players.
Hopefully the Van De Ven absence is just a precaution?Hojbjerg starts for Denmark vs San Marino
van de Ven not in the Dutch squad vs Greece
Son, Johnson, Davies and Rodon all start in Wales vs South Korea
Never capped for Holland, I don't think he's in the reckoning.Hopefully the Van De Ven absence is just a precaution?
Yeah, I knew he didn't have a cap. Just thought I heard he was called up for the squad for this set of internationals, so was worried he may have picked up an injury.Never capped for Holland, I don't think he's in the reckoning.
Yet.
Can only name 23 out of the 25 man squad VDV one of the 2 to miss out - no talk of any injuryYeah, I knew he didn't have a cap. Just thought I heard he was called up for the squad for this set of internationals, so was worried he may have picked up an injury.
OK so hhopefully he just didn't make the cut due to selection reasons rather than any problemsCan only name 23 out of the 25 man squad VDV one of the 2 to miss out - no talk of any injury
Looks like it's just a case of the Dutch having an incredible group of CB's. Virgil van Dijk and Ake started. de Vrij has come on for Ake. de Ligt still on the bench.OK so hhopefully he just didn't make the cut due to selection reasons rather than any problems
Good point.Looks like it's just a case of the Dutch having an incredible group of CB's. Virgil van Dijk and Ake started. de Vrij has come on for Ake. de Ligt still on the bench.
It wasn't as bad as Nono winning his first 3 games 1-0 without seemingly touching the ball and only having 1 or 2 shots. That was scarily bad and still some of our fans started talking like it was a Levy masterstroke to get him.But it felt false and lucky. We wernt playing the right way, and we knew it was just a matter of time untill it went tits up. It wasn't sustainable.
It feels right this time, in a very very long time

September international fixtures for our players | Tottenham Hotspur
The first international break of the season is upon us, with a number of our players – including many of our summer signings – set for action with their respective nations.www.tottenhamhotspur.com
It wasn't as bad as Nono winning his first 3 games 1-0 without seemingly touching the ball and only having 1 or 2 shots. That was scarily bad and still some of our fans started talking like it was a Levy masterstroke to get him.
And then Palace and Chelsea battered us 3-0 and it unravelled.
Can't see that happening now
I think it was painfully obvious that a 3-0 walloping was coming. Exactly the same for AVB's 2nd season.Yep, I can see us having a mare every now and then, but we will thump teams more so than we have for a long time.
Nothing more frustrating for a fan to watch a team lead, and then sit back hoping we can defend a small lead. Ange ball... at this stage , suggests we will not clock off for the sake of it. Trying to run down the clock hasnt worked.
