Before: This picture featuring Roberto Di Matteo has been replaced
Roberto Di Matteo has been airbrushed out of Chelsea’s Champions League history after the club replaced his image on an iconic wall at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s history-making manager, sacked last November by owner Roman Abramovich, was pictured on the West Stand wall with the rest of the squad and their trophies at the start of the season.

Di Matteo has now been replaced by a huge image of Chelsea’s players and coaching staff — minus the manager — celebrating the club’s first European Cup triumph in the Allianz Arena.

And Chelsea supporters, who often take souvenir pictures next to the giant poster, have been left stunned by the decision.

The new image is one of the few in existence with the team and coaching staff celebrating their triumph without Di Matteo present.

The popular Italian led Chelsea to their first European Cup last May, but was brutally axed following a 3-0 defeat at Juventus.

The original picture of the squad was in place at the start of the season, but Di Matteo has only just been removed.

Things are certainly heatening up and although it has looked like it for a while now, it's hard to see how 68 points will be enough to qualify this season.
Only a few games to og and all the three teams could still miss out. At the moment Chavs looks the least likely though! Hopefully we can change that on next Wednesday!

Andros had a great game, but it didn't help!
We saw some magic from Bale to give us the three points we needed.
We are looking for the best finish in the Premier League, but it still may not be enough.

We could turn it to our advantage with a win, even a draw would keep us in the fight. It looks quite certain now that all three teams will finish with more than 68 points..

We still have everything to play for though...

...COME ON YOU SPURS!
:freundgoal:

I fear that 70 points won't be enough either. 2 draws and 1 win=70 points. even if Chelsea just draw against United tomorrow and we draw against them onwednesday, they still need just 1 win to reach 70 (like the scum) and their superior GD will leave us at 5th place.

Bottom line, we are probably fucked.

hi Ean - did you not notice my question mark, and also the tone of the post?

what I'm saying is, well you must know what I'm saying, is how unfair it will be to label us 'bottlers', but that's what will happen.

No, I agree with that.
It will be very unfair even if we end up with 65 Points having lost VdV, King and Modric.

Was just saying that it's not over yet, and if we can manage to qualify for top 4 there is no reason to label us bottlers.
