Spurs are yet to settle on the terms of a deal but finding an agreement with the Poland international won't be a problem as he has decided to turn down Roma to join Jose Mourinho's side.

Chelsea and Manchester United had also been offered Piatek by super-agent Pini Zahavi, who has been given the remit of finding the striker a move away from the San Siro.

Milan are asking for a €30 million (£25m/$33m) obligation to buy at the end of a six-month loan deal in the talks but Spurs are still keen to negotiate more favourable terms. The north London club have asked if paying a higher loan fee now would remove the requirement for an obligation to buy, although they would still like the option to sign Piatek permanently in the summer.

To be honest Spurs should just accept.
We shouldn’t even be looking at players that they don’t think they will want in 1.5yrs
That’s a very good point. This whole loan thing seems to me to be a stop gap until Kane is fit again. Then we send the player back and end up back at square one when Harry picks up his next injury.
We need to be looking at a permanent solution for Harry’s annual absences through injury. Perhaps if we didn’t have to run him into the ground by Xmas every season by playing him week in week out for 90 minutes, we would see more of him? And maybe if we had a player we could use alongside Harry, it would ease the burden? An out and out striker who could learn to play alongside Kane as well as in place of him would really solve a lot of issues.

To be fair, that’s probably the issue. We don’t think we will want him in 18 months.

Who we *will* want will likely cost significantly north of £50 million, even if they were available. E.g Jovic.

Point is, he has papers to be a massive flop as well as briliant signing. Levy just want to avoid the first scenario. In summer window we could look for another option, offloading him back to Milan.

Surely the best case is a loan that has an obligation to buy if certain scenarios like he scores 10 goals or we get top 4 we have to buy.

Then if he's shit we don't have a risk if he's good we sign
