Any player can look good against the embarrassingly bad opponents we’ve had in the Europa League. He’s had a few nice moments but that‘s it. He’s been hooked early a couple of times even in those low level matches.

He has played just 12 minutes in the PL which is a really worrying sign, Mourinho clearly hasn’t been impressed. I doubt there have been many 25 year old strikers who have made so little impact in the PL and gone on to turn it around. He literally never plays.

There aren't many 25 year olds that have to compete for a place with a world class striker. He needs more time ( see Ndombele).

I would rather Troy Deeney then a washed up past it Costa, dont get me wrong i would have nothing against signing the same Costa when he was last in the PL, but not the mess he is now. By the way i really hope we dont sign fucking Troy Deeny either !
