With enough booze and a standard resolution broadcast, I can find it hard to tell Kane and Eriksen apart at times. Can't abide tactics, just going to get pissed and hope the team in white beats the scum in red.
Another piece of good news if it's true that he will be available for the final.
And the thing is their fans don't even realise it.Crucial to our chances
Serious question: why is Winks so highly rated?
Don't get me wrong, I like seeing him play, because he clearly wants to put a lot effort in.
But, contrary to strikers which can easily be rated based on their goals, I am not able to pinpoint something that Winks is really very good at.
In my eyes he's not for example the athletic speedster, or the frequent dribbler or even someone with far reaching key passes.
I do realize he wont be dispossessed of the ball under pressure easily because he has an excellent pass percentage (even though to be honest his passes are seldom risky anyway).
So can anyone help figuring out why Winks is so highly rated, because I can't find a decent stat that tells so.
(It could well be his 'magnificence' doesn't translate into stats so that's why I'm asking)
Short answer: He keeps things ticking in midfield and doesn’t lose/squander possession where other players in his position would (see Dier, Wanyama etc.)Serious question: why is Winks so highly rated?

I was going to go into a more extensive list of Winks' injury history this season (and how it correlates with our form in a pretty stark way) but I see Totti covered that pretty well.Serious question: why is Winks so highly rated?

I'd just like to echo everything else has said on here about Winks and to add that for me he always seems to inject a bit of pace in our play.Serious question: why is Winks so highly rated?

Let me be clear: I do rate Winks but I wasn't able to back it up with simple stats, because Winks likely is a player where stats don't do justice to the impact he's having. That's why I asked the genuine question.'Cant find a decent stat'
jesus christ
Excellent turning radius and skill in close quarters that helps him evade the opposition press. He passes efficiently and quickly and improves the first phase of our transition game tenfold. He’s well clear of all our other CMs in this regard.Serious question: why is Winks so highly rated?

In fact the only negative to Winks is that he is having problems staying fit.
It probably means we cannot 100% rely on him for a full season, but that's where depth comes in. Huge summer ahead.
