I just caught up with a mate who's a huge Ajax fan, couldn't have sung Sanchez's praises more. Was their best player last year, thinks he was one of the top passers in the whole league, (not just defenders). Absolute unit and very quick, but most importantly in his opinion, he's not just an athletic guy made to look better in our league, he is quick to read the game and positionally/tactically very astute. In his opinion for a 20 year old who has shown so much ability already he should be the best defensive signing by a prem team this summer. He saw him a few times live and watched all their other games, and every ajax fan he knows was firstly surprised that someone fitted into the first team so quickly and was so good (he's only been there a year). He isn't a bad presence from corners either, couldn't remember all his goals but with the exception of a cheeky bicycle kick (was still from a corner) was pretty sure at least 4/5 were headers from corners. In his words, at this age, in direct comparison to Jan and Toby he is ahead of them across all aspects of defending, what Jan & Toby have become should indicate how Sanchez will be, and will reach at least 2 years earlier and definitely has the potential to be even better.

How exciting! Lets hope he transitions into the premier league no problem, it sure sounds like if he does he will be amazing..

he is liked so much cause he is not a typical Ajax defender

Jan and Toby are typical Ajax players. Skilled, good positional awareness and all that nerd shit. Sanchez is straight up cartel football thug who shoots first, then tells you to piss off

Its already a bad bargain for us cause with him we would have qualified for CL (or at least EL, fcuk our lifes)

We often appears to be the latest in transfer windows. We are actually the earliest because we so often buy into the future....
