Good game for him after the loan at Ipswich (a surprise to everyone being a leader at 2nd/3rd for much of the season in first season after promotion to Championship) which hasn't worked well for Dane in playing time.

A hattrick will have done his confidence no end of good. Hopefully he gets a little playing time for rst of season and a chance to shine in pre-season with most of the first team away on international duties. Its then up to Ange to work out whether Dane would get enough playing time at Spurs when we have europe as well as Pl or whether another loan is the right path forward.

Dane is not a flashy player but Ange has trusted him with minutes and he knows how to score.
Let's not forget he is still only 19. Younger than S-Bell.

We should defo keep either him or Veliz as 3rd ST next season.

Mental how good our under X sides generally are these days. There's no longer a gap technique wise between us and other top countries and it's really starting to show.
Just a shame most PL sides go down the foreign route in such a vast majority of cases. Them English kids don't get a chance, the lucky ones end up at Dortmund, but how many never make it higher than League One. Talent - or lack thereof - clearly isn't the issue...

Shame that striker, alongside centre back and goalkeeper seem to be the hardest positions for youth to cement places or get given chances at bigger clubs.

Even if Son and Richarlison both got injured, I still reckon we'd play someone like Werner central over Scarlett. Which is a shame.

Spine, innit.... At least at ST you have the chance of cameos from the 70/80min mark.
