Lack luster performance and a least one penalty taken by someone who doesn't look like he gives a shit.
Didn't watch the post match interviews, but a fella(spurs) at work reckons Poch admitted there's a split in the camp.Is this true?
"When you have an unsettled squad always it's difficult and you lose time, then you need time to recover the time you lose," added the Argentine.
"That's where we are. Maybe our performances are good but you need this extra, which is mental, connection. It's energy to be all together, not to have different agendas in the squad.
"We are in a period where it's a bit tough for us, but we keep working to find a solution.
"When this type of thing happens it's about staying clear and fresh and calm. We're trying to find solutions and we only need time."

Naaaa, mate, KWP was the only dynamic player last night IMO (along with Moura in patches and Son once on the pitch). Thought KWP was really good second half.

Really?! ?!

He was so slow??! Did everything at walking pace and slowed down when he got near the box giving them acres of time to get 8 men behind the ball! Then his delivery was shit! Even the shot that hit the post was supposed to be a cross!!

The full backs are imperative to how we play too often then got the ball in space and pulled a trippier! Put their Foot on the ball to stop it still, look forward, then turn abound and pass it back to the cbs

Infuriating.

*just to note I’m not solely blaming KWP/Davies just pointing out how they affect our play

Did not see match but I disagreed with the team selection. I thought Poch had learnt that Dier and Wanyama should never play together unless a difficult away match v say M city or Liverpool. Much too defensive. Picking 2 new players at a time when we desperately needed to get the season on track was madness. Both of them were subbed and it has probably put their progress back. You blood new players when things going well. KWB and Skipp are part of the squad and should have played. I really did not want to lose several players talked about leaving or Poch but with the present run of form no longer care. This results hurts and we can do without sarcastic remarks from some. Inability to create any decent chances or take them was abysmal. Difficult to see a way out short term and looks like a very painful season is ahead.

On a lighter note, Rochdale minutes away from holding Utd to a penalty shoot out....Nah...they couldn't...could they ??

Nah...lost on penalties. :(

Sounds like something Brendan Rodgers said a few years back. Spurs Bear. Paul Lambert. Jumpers for goalposts.

The point I'm trying to make is that it really wasn't a catastrophically bad performance. We weren't outplayed, or even out battled, we were just a bit fucking toothless, but we have that problem most of the fucking time, it was hardly going to be improved by playing 3CB's, 2 CM's who are for different reasons not regulars, and Moura, Alli and Parrott up top was it?

You're a real pain in the hole at times.

Look at tonights results, Burton have knocked out Bournemouth, Oxford have smashed West Ham, Sunderland have put out Sheff Utd, and ManU and Wolves could only draw at home against lower league sides.
Is that our level now? West Ham and Sheffield Utd???

We played like absolute shit, stop trying to pretend Colchester produced some incredible defensive display and we dominated, like come on mate.

I totally agree with you. Players need to give 100% all the time. Especially players like we played vs Colchester, who are fighting for playing time!

But let’s be clear, Man City wins League Cups because their second string is good enough to easily win their early round matches and then they (like us) play their first team if they get deep into the competition. Our second string is way worse than their second string. Doesn’t excuse losing to Colchester of course.

In the end though, I just don’t care about the League Cup. Hopefully Poch can use the loss as a motivational point for the rest of the campaign.

Yeah that will spark us into a title challenge.
Convinced of it.

Oh no, we can’t win that either because City’s second string are too good.....FA Cup? Nope, might as well go out to Oxford as that will motivate us to win the CL.....oh no that’s right we’ll be knocked out in the groups but that’s good because all these cup defeats will motivate us to scrape 4th...

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
