Maybe Spurs will buy Kyle Walker Peters as backup fullback and he qualify as CT. Hence no need give the slot to Robson.

Southampton might sell if they not get promoted to EPL next season.

CT Austin
CT Skipp
CT Parrot
CT Kyle Walker Peters

HG Forster
HG Davies
HG Maddison
HG Johnson

Plus 17 NHG for UEFA

For EPL , Sarr can take Parrot's spot for HG. And Solomon will take Sarr spot for non HG and Solomon will only register for EPL and not UEFA.
Don’t think Parrot would be much worse than Werner on the left. At least he can stick a goal in.

Not sure off the ball Parrot can press as well as Werner. If not he will not even sit on the bench like We4ner did
But we won’t have to pay 15m for Parrot. Not sure what is the point of Werner. He filled a gap when Sonny was away but now he will always start on the bench. We don’t really use his pace. Plenty of opportunities to pass to him but we don’t seem to bother.
On the rare occasion he has got through the defence, looks like he wouldn’t score in a million years.
Troy will no doubt get a chance in pre season friendlies as a lot of our internationals won’t be there after euros and Copa America . It’s up to him.

No club can have more than 25 players on List A during the season, of whom at least two must be goalkeepers.

As a minimum, eight of those 25 places are reserved exclusively for 'locally trained players' and no club may have more than four 'association-trained players' listed among those eight places.

If a club have fewer than eight locally trained players in their squad, then the maximum number of players on List A is reduced accordingly.

Football Chap Football Chap

Is it possible to have 17 NHG, 3 CT and 5 Association players in the UEFA squad?

'
'no club may have more than four 'association-trained players' listed among those eight places'.

So the answer is NO to 5 Association trained players in UEFA squad - except when there are 16 Overseas trained players (ie one Association Trained Player taking the place of an Overseas trained player).

But with 3 CT players you can never get 25 players in List A squad, maximum is 24

'Each club must include at least two goalkeepers on List A and at least three in total (List A and List B combined).'

This rule has been slightly tweaked - many sides will have 2 GK's from List A with a List B (ie u21 who has been at Spurs for 2+ years) - rather than 3 GK's on List A under rules for previous seasons.

However our best List B GK will be 19 year old Luca Gunter - Keeley has only been at Spurs one season before loan to Barnet which would not count as part of 2 years at Spurs). A big responsibility if we ever needed to use a 3rd GK in europe - although we never have whenever playing in europe in past years.

All the possible combinations !

(nb. free players = overseas trained)

nb. The only combinations not covered is where there are less than 17 overseas trained players.

Whilst with 17 overseas trained players the maximum number of Association trained players is 4, if there are 16 overseas trained players, we could have 5 association trained player, with 15 overseas players, 6 association trained etc - ie substitute one association trained player for an overseas trained player..

Key thing is a minimum of 4 Club trained within 8 Locally trained players to get a 25 man squad - but we could have any number of club trained players (up to 25 CT).

So, in a nutshell if we don't have any CT players in the squad next season the most we can have in the UEFA squad is 21.
Could be 17 NHG and 4 Association.
16+5
15+6
14+7
etc

Just a reminder of all our 21+ yo players who will be classified as CT next season:

Austin GK
Whiteman GK
Tanganga CB
Robson MF
Skipp MF
Parrott Striker

Yes.

Rules in short :
1. No . of Club trained must be a MINIMUM of 4 players (to have a 25 man squad)

2 No. of locally trained must be a MINIMUM of 8 players (including MINIMUM of 4 CT) to get 25 man squad

3 No of Overseas trained players must be a MAXIMUM of 17

I'm beginning to wonder if Spurs will consider having only 2 GK's in List A (and an u21 gk in List B), relying upon getting a substitute if we got 2 injured GK's :

If a club cannot count on the services of at least two goalkeepers registered on List A because of long-term injury or illness, the club concerned may temporarily replace the goalkeeper concerned and register a new goalkeeper at any time during the season and complete the official registration of List A with a goalkeeper fit to be fielded. An injury or illness is considered long-term if it lasts at least 30 days as of the day the injury or illness occurred. If the goalkeeper recovers before the end of this 30-day period, the player must nonetheless remain off List A until the end of such period. The new goalkeeper does not have to be locally trained, even if the replaced goalkeeper was. The club must provide UEFA with the necessary medical evidence in one of UEFA's official languages. UEFA may require further medical examination of the goalkeeper by an expert appointed by UEFA at the club's expense. Once the injured or ill goalkeeper is fit to be fielded again, he can resume his position in place of his substitute. The return of the original goalkeeper must be announced to the UEFA administration 24 hours before the next match in which the original goalkeeper is due to play.

If we did that we might not retain Austin or Whiteman at Spurs ? Might not be next season but season after that if we get 4 outfield CT players who are good enough

I think Ange will keep one of them next season because he would be a "free hit."
Not sure about the EPL rules about GKs but with Forster injured if neither were here this season we would just have Vicario and the U21 kids.
2025-26 I think only Devine, Ashcroft and Sayers become CT?

Re injured GK's the rule (posted above) allows an 'emergency GK' to be brought in if a team has less than 2 GK's with injury lasting more than 30 days - I seem to recall Liverpool having a similar situation a couple of years ago (2019 ?) when Allison injured and they brought in Andy Lonergan (ex Boro ?) who did remarkable well for them, so think it would be similar position in both PL and UEFA without researching the point.

Agree Austin or Whiteman likely to be a free hit next season ......... he says before Walker-Peters Edwards and Veljkovic all make a surprise return as CT players !

Madueke and Edwards also count as CT?

Whay about Carter-Vickers for the 4th CB spot?

Madueke moved to Netherlands too early to count as CT or HG.

Edwards would count as CT.

I quite like CCV as a CB, although I wouldn't describe him as having the speed Ange seems to like - but he did well at Celtic under Ange seeming to be a massive leader and defender, so think he'd be an inspired choice but is naturally right footed although think he has played LCB before. Still only 26.

Dennis Cirkin (LB/LCB) would be another option and is CT - but has missed a lot of games for Sunderland this season with a hamstring, so would need a thorough medical. Thought to have a £6m buy back expiring this June.

Luis Binks (LCB) would be CT, but hasn't been as standout as I expected since he left in 2000 - currently on loan at Coventry - had fantastic Alderweireld long passing ability.

There's actually a few CT players, probably good enough to be squad players atm - for example Milos Veljkovic who has made over 200 appearances for Werder Bremer. Plays CB at club, DM for Serbia.

I'd hope our scouts have looked at all of them.
