We could well end up playing Sunday-Tuesday, again. Hull match is at 4 on Sunday 26th. Then in the League Cup, our match and Woolwich's match won't be played on the same night - one will be Tues 28th, the other Weds 29th. Chelsea play City at 4 on the 26th too - either way one of us is going to have a very short gap between matches. Imagine it'll probably be us again, given the high profile nature of Chelsea's two matches

Less of a problem this time around since we're playing Hull in both matches. In fact it will be murder on them rather than us as they will have to travel down for the Sunday and then have to decide to stick around until the Tuesday without any real training or travel back straight after the game Sunday and back down again Tuesday morning. We can comfortably field two different sides in those games and don't play again until Everton away the following Sunday.

As I always insist - first team to miss in the penalty shoot out win again! So much money to be made using that idea.

All the pressure lifts off the penalty takers if one of their team-mates has already missed, and they generally get better.

we didn't. (basel)

If Hull use their heads they will book some private training facilities and just stay local. Plenty of banks have sports facilities, there are civil service grounds and so on.(when they were in the premiership, Wimbledons training ground was a school owned sports field off the A3 called Richardson Evans. It wasnt even fenced off from the roads.) That way they can have a light training session on the monday.

This weeks League Cup (I'll only revert to Capital One Cup should Woolwich win it) has gone some way to showing the depth in strength at Chelsea, City and ourselves - each of the staring XI of those teams are capable of winning the tournament, whilst it is fair to say that more than half of each team won't be starting this weekend.
